Hey Guys,
General Discussion: Should the PG and CPU on heavies really be reduced?

I'm required by divine decree to disagree with your assertion that gallente sentinels are the best but I will admit that heavies have alot of fitting room. Then again, I have core upgrades at 5 and engineering and electronics at 4.

true, to be fair I have all the PG/CPU related skills to 5 so there is excessive room

I've got PRO Amarr Sent (well, lvl4 and a few hundred 'Neo' ak.0 from a combination of faction packs and mauler events), PRO Amarr Assault, PRO Amarr Logistics and ADV Caldari Scout; if I had two points in FG Fitting Optimisation I could literally fit whatever I want without restrictions; as it is my IAFG takes up slightly too much PG for a second complex plate/repper.

May be worth putting those two points in for that freedom

vets are probably not the people to ask since we are likely to have cpu and pg skills maxed for a long while now. So even when we skill into a new suit our base pg and cpu will be far higher than new players who lack core skills.
Ironically I think CCP best bet, if taken in moderation, is to ensure low level suits have plenty of pg and cpu and then reduce it on higher tier suits on the assumption that players will have invested more into their core skills before using higher tier suits.
Saying that I believe if you have maxed out all the cpu/pg booster skills and all related skills that reduce fitting costs then you should be able to fit all proto.

Yes I was playing around on Protofits.com and with skills set to maximum I can fit ever thing to proto/complex and still have a FK ton of CPU ans PG left if I were to fit a minmatar assault evomen with max skills I would be strapped for PG and CPU and would have to run some Enhanced mods and an ADV or Basic sidearm with an ADV nano.

Don't nerf the Proto CPU/PG It's Prototype stuff. It should be able to fit anything.
Just do the same for Proto level on all Dropsuits classes. For the price increase we suffer at Proto level, we should be able to throw whatever we want on it. Standard and Advanced modules on a PRO fitting is like fitting Yugo parts on a Ferrari.
We want to burn the ISK & Aurum. Why is that so bad?

I agree that if you have the relevant skill to 5 all proto should be comfortable as you've put in the investment

haha you continuing through to Legion? It would be the only reason for me to run a decent gaming PC, so most likely not. When it ports to PS5, absolutely.
I have Destiny and PS2 in my immediate future. After that, anything is possible - but I'm too old to be looking 2-3 years down the road for a game.

Problem is, it's the only suit that can do it. Buff CPU/PG for assaults and commando or nerf sentinel CPU/PG

Hellllluuuurrr!
It isn't as bad as it is for the Amarr Assault and Amarr Sentinel:
Sentinel CPU - PG: A: 473 - 95 C: 486 - 89 G: 459 - 100 M: 499 - 84
Assault CPU - PG: A: 459 - 92 C: 394 - 79 G: 394 - 79 M: 420 - 84
For the rest, it is pretty dang rough especially considering the amount of slots:
Amarr: * Sentinel is 2 High, 3 Low * Assault is 3 High, 3 Low
Caldari: * Sentinel is 4 High, 1 Low * Assault is 4 High, 3 Low
Gallente: * Sentinel is 1 High, 4 High * Assault is 3 High, 4 Low
Minmatar: * Sentinel is 3 High, 2 Low * Assault is 5 High, 2 Low
Plus each Assault has an Equipment Slot.
Add the fact that Basic and Advanced Shield Extenders are completely terrible, Complex Shield Extenders are 54 / 11, and the problem gets worse. For a Caldari Assault, filling their highs with Shield Extenders burns 216 CPU. For Minmatar, it is 270.

No, Prototype is not supposed to fit everything prototype, even with maxed skills. You're supposed to pick and choose what you want to make strong and what you want to sacrifice.
Heavy obviously has too much CPU/PG, you literally CANNOT max it out.

I run all proto gear on my G1-S. I don't know if that calls for a Nerf but....You're correct I can not max it out. I'm foregoing the price tag of the Ferrari by putting all Ferrari parts on my Honda accord.
