I got my first hatemail in a while tonight! I swapped to a shotgun fit for a caldari c-1 (I only have basic suits) at the beginning of the match. I was running around, and killed a nova knife scout that was trying to hack the cru I was watching, and then he came back, so I got him again! Finally, I was peeking over and saw him at a far hill, so I ran over and he was gone. I noticed that the cru vanished from my hud, so I assumed he had finally managed to hack the cru. I make a mad dash to the cru (flanking around, ofc) and he spots me, fleeing to the far side of the cru. He disappears from the tac-net.
I look around, moving from side to side, but he doesn't show back up. I decide to sprint around behind it and suddenly hear the 'swish swish' of nova knives. I dash into a leaping 180, spinning around to land a body shot with my breach scrambler pistol, then BONG, headshot against him as I backpedal.
A little later I head to the medium socket and I hear something shooting outside. I run up the stairs, out across the roof and jump down behind this other shotgunner, and btong, she's down. And then I spot something on my tacnet on the other side of the rock. I run around, and Btong btong btong, the commando bites the dust.
I manage to run into that same shotgun scout again, and pull off a leaping headshot on her. I'm patrolling the area and then suddenly my mail blinks, "*#(@ YOU PUNK" the contents "ACT LIKEU GOOD U SUCK"
I'm like, sweet, I got hatemail, awwesome! But that wasn't the end of the story. I managed to snag around eight more kills before they show up again, this time working as a pair. I'm chasing a tubby into the building and manage to get the kill, I saw them in my peripherals but ignored them until I heard a Ptong! and I fly down face first, eating concrete. Then she keeps punching the air over my clone as I burst out laughing IRL, saying outloud, "Yeah, she mad! she mad bro!"
A little later I run into her again, and it's a distance SMG vrs my Scrambler pistol. a few potshots and she flees right as I run out of ammo.
