Everytime I set up for a PC, my PS3 ends up hard-freezing and I have to reset it right before I deploy into the Warbarge; and it still hard-freezes once I get into the Warbarge.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Is there a solution? Or is this just another case of Can't Code Properly's $#!tty code?

You have to go into your fittings screen. Then reset all of your fitting names so that they each have a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a numeral and a symbol. And it must be at least eight characters long. |

Soul had the same problem when he use to play and still does I think. Never found a solution for him except someone has to ferry him into the Warbarge every game.

I had that problem too, shut off once and I was only online 2 minutes and was checking my mail. I sent in a **** load of tickets to CCP and they kept saying it was something to do with my PS3, even though I kept telling them I was 100% sure it wasn't. Then I got angry at the ticket guy and he stopped replying.
So after trying everything, I switched to SD, and its only done it once in like 3-4 months, the best fix for it in my opinion though, is when I stopped playing all together.

Is there a solution? Or is this just another case of Can't Code Properly's $#!tty code? Yo dude. I haven't been on for a bit but I do remember one of my last PCs you kept DC'd from my squad. Sorry to hear it's still going on. If your regular PUB games are grand then it more than likely isn't your internet so try the following as if you've never done these steps you should notice a big improvement not just in Dust but all games.
The next steps are basic computer maintenance that unfortunately most people I know don't know about or do them. I'm used to doing it as it keeps my PC in tip top order. On the PC, doing a regular disk check, disc clean, and disk defragmentation can keep hard drives, and installed software working well for long past what alot of people are used to, and it's no different for the PS3 using its similar tools.
IMPORTANT - None of the following deletes any data aside from messages, user made playlists, and some accessory settings. All game data, music, films, intenet settings, etc., are there after. The only setting I've to redo after is change my audio settings from the default so that my headset works again. If you want you can copy your messages onto a USB stick.
Step One - Delete Dust from the hard drive. Unfortunately CCP don't have any real housekeeping in their updates so if you've never done this you'll find that the Dust file is bloated with alot of junk files. An updated freshly downloaded Dust file is just over 2.4 GBs. Much as many trolls on these forums will tell ya to stop there as deletion is the best fix for all Dust issues redownload Dust AFTER the following steps.
Step Two - Clear all temporary files. This is simple. Just switch off the PS3 at the wall or unplug it so that no power is going to it for 30 seconds, then switch it back on at the wall but leave it in standby mode, ie. with the redlight on.
Step Three- Open up the PS3 maintenance menu. With the PS3 in standby mode, hold down the console power button. Only release the power button when the PS3 has both powered up AND after about 15 seconds powered down again to standby mode. Now hold down the power button again. After a couple of seconds there will be a single beep followed a few seconds later by a two rapid beeps. Release the power button as soon as you hear the two rapid beeps.
Follow the on screen prompt to use a USB cable to connect a controller and then press the controller PS button. This brings you into the PS3 maintenance menu.
Step Four - Scroll to menu option 3, Restore File System, and press X. Follow the on screen prompts and let it work away. This might take awhile if you've never done it, but after the first time it's very fast. Mine is done in just over a minute. Once it's done it reboots the PS3 and you'll be back in the main menu.
Step Five - Tap the power button to switch the PS3 back into standby mode. Now repeat Step Three to get back into the maintenance menu. This time you'll be scrolling down to menu option 4, Rebuild Database, and pressing X. The same as above, just follow the on screen prompts and leave it run. This only takes just over a minute for me, but as I said above, if you've never done it before it might take awhile before it finishes and reboots to the PS3 main menu.
Step Six - Happy days, your maintenance is finished and you can now remake your playlists and change a few of the settings that went back to default. Redownload Dust and you should be playing a way smoother game
Hit me up ingame if ya want to ask me any questions about the above.

o7 I hope my post helps As well as the above there are another few things to do. All routers/modems I've used get a bit slow after a few days without reboot. As a habit it is not a bad idea to switch off the router/modem at the wall for 10-30 seconds and then power it back on. Basicly it is doing a hard reset, and you should find that what was a slightly laggy connection will become very smooth again.
Another thing that alot of long time PC(planatary conquest not personal computer ) players do is that prior to a PC battle they will do a reset of the PS3. Some just do a soft rest, ie. just log out and back in, but the better option if time to battle allows is to do a hard rest, ie. power off and switch off the power for a few seconds before logging back in. I generally, if I'm not to drunk to remember to do it, do a hard reset of both the router and the PS3 as it gives the optimal conditions for the potentially bug ridden game we all love called Dust 514

Yeah this Atiim, same.
Im running the newer ps3 and if i don't do this after patches, updates or after about 2 months then it really starts playing up.
also, everyone should be cleaning the DUST out of their ps3 once a month, pun intended and unavoidable lol.
They are getting old.
