I think gameplay has been the best I have seen in a long time since the big announcement ran many people off.
I think the hotfix is going to be a good thing for many reasons. It is addressing some well needed issues and showing the players that are still around that there really will be a little bit of work done on the game.
The changes to plates could go either way.
The nerf to CR and RR looks good aka not way over done to put it into the ground.
If they get the numbers right for clone packs PC should get even better than it has been.
The changes to the cloak are not needed aside from the firing delay when decloaking.
Laser focused in a room full of mirrors. Everything you ever wanted coming SoonGäó just keep buying boosters.

Yes, we'll still get one sided battles, but proto scouts will no longer be untouchable, so the meta could change slightly. I think this will mostly just make the disparity between low SP and high SP scouts less noticeable.
I think the CR and AR changes are a step in the right direction.

I have a simple perspective on it. I still play the game. The hotfix that they are giving us is nice. If these shall continue, cool. If not, more than likely I will still be playing this game.
As far as the battlefield point you brought up concerning stupidly one sided matches, that just boils down to the game's population and the fact blueberries don't cooperate with each other. CCP can't directly change the way some folks play in order to enhance the gameplay.
Sure they can change this or change that, but if a mercenary doesn't understand the simple nuances of teamwork, then we will continue to have stupidly one sided match. Cause you know, most of the time when its one sided like that, you have a team that's organized and blobbing, whereas the other team is spread out all over the map. That's why there has always been a clear distinction between the elite and the other guys. The other guys don't work with each other and that's what made the elite powerful.

I understand the source of the lament though; but the more I look at the gal scout the more dislike the idea of so many bells and whistles that is probably best left on a guristas scout suit instead.
Gal scout does way too much for too little.

Who is the best scout?

One team w squads and one just solo players. A "mercenary" style pub would most likely fix this or at least minimize. Even when I played COD id go on mercenary deathmatch because otherwise id play a full mic'ed up team.

Games that are one sided are not always because of balance issues. Sometimes it is a skill issue.

This is would be more in line with eve's answer to the age old question "What is the best ship?" 1.8 gal scout dangerously comes close to answering being the best suit in the game.
I like to be a ninja, not allowing the enemy to know that I'm there until it's too late.
The Gal Scout allowed me to do that.

Nerf/buff whatever I have everything any way.
Gal/cal/mini/amar scout have em am lvl 5
RL/CR/AR/MD al level 5 ( al skills )
SMG/SP/ al maxed out also.
Al DP command skills lvl 5
And inuff SP in bank to do whatever if for some slim rezone
I don't have whatever CCP makes the most OP gun this time.
But that does not mater I hate this game only holding on to my char so I can sell it to a eve turd when legion hits.
( they do permit chat transfers and sales in eve so this is pure speculation on my side )
That's if CCP will transfer SP as promised ( don't trust CCP on anything at this point )
I still play from time to time but that's more to mess about with friends than anything else

Edit: the cloak duration didn't need to change though I support the other changes.
I wonder what game you play I rarely see the so called scout dominance. I see at least the same amount of med frames not to speak of heavies... |
