Good day
I am currently using a Caldari logistics suit fitted with the following:
Sl4 rail rifle/ KaalakiotaGÇÖs rifle Nanite injector Drop uplink Militia grenade Shield extenders Shield recharger Armor
I get on average 7 kills to 3 deaths.
What would be the best suit to use, I was thinking of training up for assault drop suit.
Any recommendations?

If you enjoy using the Rail Rifle, then I'd suggest using the Caldari Commando. Along with giving you a damage bonus to the Rail Rifle, it allows you to carry another light weapon as well.
The Logistics aren't really meant for killing, as much as they are support.

I use a gallente assault fitting even tho it's always been said assault class is asking for trouble. It's fun - you can keep a decent speed if you use ferroscale plates and you can put AR's, CR's, RR's to good use. Overall it's a middle of the road fitting but it depends how you want to play the game. If you like being on the frontline and seeing constant action then it's a good one to go for. Many will say you should specialise a bit more and choose an indomitable heavy or a lightning fast invisi-scout. Depends if you like that sort of games style. Experiment and see how it goes!

If you want to have some fun and murder much, go with the Caldari Sentinel or the Gallente Sentinel. I think the CalSen is way better.
For a logi, you can get kills but the game has changed for it. Maybe put up two damage mods in your high slots. Most will tell you its a waste of time but if you like to slay while support, two damage mods will do you justice. It will afford you quicker kills in pub matches.
The assault is okay by today standards. But if you enjoy killing and bringing the fear of death and doom, I would seriously look into becoming a heavy and skilling into HMG.
Also, while I'm thinking about it. One thing I think needs to be said about Dust in its current state is that being specialized in one role is not ideal at all. Come in as Logi, drop your uplinks or your nanohives. Hit a supply depot and then switch to a heavy and assault. The ideal way of playing is having more than two roles ready for you. This will balance out WP gain and kills

Very good points in this post - definitely try to build yourself up in a couple of different roles. The game is a lot more fun if you're not doing the same thing all the time. It takes a long long time to get seriously high up on the skill tree so it's understandable to want to focus on one thing - but you will thank yourself for making various fittings so you are able to react to different circumstances in battle.

SHOT all, will give the different options a try this weekend. See how it goes.
I have trained for Scout as well as I started off being into sniping, but wanted more action so changed then to logistics.
Wasted time and SP training up for sniper rifle level 5, don't wanna make another mistake.

You can even carry them both!

Kills and deaths pretty much mean nothing to a logi, what sort of WP are you getting per match?

The biggest downside of the calmando is the stamina / stamina regen. |

Trying the commando I found it to be too slow moving for my playstyle. On paper it's a fantastic class - but if one of the LW's is a sniper rifle I can see the appeal as this is basically two totally seperate roles in one. But something in a reply earlier was spot on - to the OP I say always know where your supply units are located so you can switch things up in battle without having to die. It sounds obvious but it was something I often forgot about during games. I'd be stuck with the wrong weapon and basically give up instead of rectifying the mistake.
I would also recommend buying a bunch of cheap cars so you can call them in if you really want to change class - and speed off to a supply unit without wasting too much time. Especially useful on the bigger maps of course..
