Base sniper: Avg RoF, decent damage across optimal (200m optimal, 400m falloff), small clip, buff damage slightly.
Change tactical sniper: - high RoF (like now) but the optimal range is 100m where it can do +25% damage compared to now, but then it falls off to do 30% damage at 150m.
Charge Sniper: - works like now, but max damage out to 400m compared to the other variants. |

I'm not sure how this is whining...I don't mind snipers much actually at the moment, as an Minmatando I pretty much just have to worry about headshots. I just like the idea of wider gameplay options and rewarding the snipers who leave the redline. |

The problem is the extreme range and set up for a Sniper that forces them way way back. Look at Call of Duty / Battlefield Snipers. They can be closer because their zoom is not inherently set out so far and they can pull out faster shots. Compare this video by a Battlefield 4 player that I found with a search and Cyrius Li-Moody's attempt at close range sniping. He states he isn't good with a Sniper and mouse is generally better for sniping but look at the massive sway as he tries to shoot someone. He needed to go Aim Down Sight, wait for the bounce, and then get a shot off. That necessitates having farther range so as to not get shot during the set up.
It would be nice to have sniper rifles that have shorter range, the same damage (maybe even less) but allow for easier quick scoping so as to allow Snipers to move to a location, fire at that location immediately, and then fall back to reload. Kind of like what the BF4 player does. Obviously we don't want the 1-2 hit kill with body shot though.

Yeah making the Tactical SR this version would make sense. Shorter zoom angle, faster stabilization. |

Just another "the mean sniper shot me" nerf request.
Snipers are long range weapons, the guns are useless for combat within 100 metres, nerfing the range so you can shot them with your fom gun from 100 metres is just the same as all the rest.
