I would like to thank the Devs for all the work they are putting into Legion.
I absolutely adore the fact that you people are constantly posting in these here forums and listening to our ideas (And making Legion).
CCP MC Peanut gets a special mention for the fact that he posts ACTUAL information in the forums and getting us all excited.
Thanks Dev guys.

CCP MC Peanut is getting nothing but positive feedback from the community, so is it any surprise that he has become such a politic poster?
I mean I really appreciate how CCP MC Peanut is interacting with the community, but I think that CCP ZGÇÖs interaction with the community has required a lot more courage. The Skill system is widely considered one of the defining attributes of this game, so any attempt to change it is going to be very controversial. I applaud CCP Z for sharing his vision for improving the skill system with us at such an early stage in development, when it is not too late to incorporate our feedback into the design. And boy, did we ever give him feedback!

I agree. I have to admit I am a bit sceptical of Z's idea, but it is too early to tell until we get the full picture. (I.e, fitting, market, progression etc) But if he didn't share all the information he have, we wouldn't have this discussion right now... And discussions are good |

I also heard Z has taken are feedback on board, and spoke to us and engaged us even though we where critcal of what he was doing. Unlike commander wang who just insulted everybody,
CCP Z whats us to have a emontail attachment to somthing in legion (correct idea) but the dropsuit was (by the communty) the wrong thing to target, i think the skill tree is wildly misunderstood by most.
Saberwing i do ask you get Z to at least say Hi if we see him taking feedback onboard and disagreeing eith us all we neex to know is why, like saying just because you get the skill liat doesnt mean new people do etc etc

The main difference between MC Peanut and Z is that the first stood by his ideas with arguments (I thought of this way because of X Y and Z) that were clearly understood by the community (even when he said that would do X instead of some suggestion).
Not only the reasons for an abrupt change were not clearly uinderstood when Z proposed his idea (not only by myuself, but a lot of people), some arguments he used had... holes in it. (Or so it appeared for the public)
Of course Peanut have much more liberty to talk about tools and coding and all that because it-¦s more objective (I prefer tool X with Y parameter instead of Mashing up Z and W to create the sensation of Y), but when he spoke of the 95% hating the skilltree, even for a subjective argument it got me asking questions not because of my preference for X or Y, but for the healthy use of the New Eden IP and the foundations that were being ocnsidered to make such a drastic shift.
I-¦m looking foward his next posts where he-¦ll continue the defense of his thoughts with sound data or a more concrete presentation, there-¦s no hate for him as a person, but for the way the thinking was presented, even with all the red tape involved in the process.
Talk to the community man, we-¦re here to help you guys give us an excellent game that we plan to play for a long long time. |
