With all the recent "Sticky" Feedback thread we can see one major thing :
Amarr suits (Commandos/Scouts) are the less used. Amarr Weapons are the less used.
Now let's see why, In fact Amarr suits are supposed to Brick Tank, problem they simply can't, Gallente Suit can tank BETTER than Amarr AND can repair with native regen.
Amarr bonuses for Commandos / Scouts are USELESS.
Scout : => The Stamina bonus is bad, someone already show it, every other suit can cover longer distance and faster than Amarr scout. (With a graph, but i can't find it anymore..sad.) => Amarr scout is slow as hell, he's almost same than Assaults..... You tell me we can make it faster with osme biotics ? WRONG you can improve his running speed it's true , but you can't improve his walking speed (Strafing) meaning he just can' strafe, for a scout it makes it impossible to play. => Everything an Amarr do, a Gallente do it better.
Commando : => The general bonus is a reload speed bonuses. Amarr weapons already reload fast, and their mag is high (supposed to) this bonus is TOTALLY pointless for them. => The damage bonus is for Laser LIGHT weapons, meaning we can only use 2 weapons Amarr commando, Laser and Scrambler. We know we could use something else, but it would make uslose a 10% damage bonus. => Everything an Amarr do, a gallente do it better. => Laser and ScR have the same niche, same range, same damage profile, useless stack....
Weapons : => Why Amarr are the only weapons that have a potential lethal drawback ? Why overheating ? => Why do they takes HELL to fit ? 11PG for STD ? Is that a joke ? => Why they have so low damage ? => Why -20% on armor ? I mean EVERYBODY have lot of armor ehp, and even Shield tankers are supposed ot have small armor, with overheat problem, you just CAN'T kill an ennemy......Throw your weapon on him to stun him you'll have more chance to kill him... => Why all Amarr weapons show the shooter position ? => Why recoil on a LASER weapon ?
Every probelm stacked IS why Amarr stuff is doomed. Amarr Commandos sucks because gallente is better in every part, they neeed to use Amarr weapons which sucks into amarr hands....
Your own graph showed it CCP, Amarr stuff needs a buff, but not for other race, Only Amarr, Amarr weapons should be native friendly to Amarr suits. Add a native "over heat reduction" to all Amarr suit, 10% Or do something, "Stamina" is not even an advantage, 30hp ? How are we supposed to tank with THIRTY HP ? |

Amarr weapons do not reload quickly. It's 4s on the laser rifle and close to 3 on the scr. Amarr commandos are reasonably balanced when it comes to lasers (2800 dmg / 60 shots at commando 5, vs the assaults 3700 / 80 shots at assault 5), they're great at suppressing with the laser rifle but they have mild CQC issues with non AScr's due to overheat.
The only really glaring 'issues' is hp totals on commando & assault and the fact that their weapons aren't FoTM like combat rifles are. They also lack av options like the gallente and minmatar commandos, nor can they snipe like cal commando as their weapons are pretty niche.
Aside from the -1 low slot on amarr medium frames and the slightly low health total on amarr commandos I feel that the suits and the existing weapons are reasonably balanced... If very niche. Having a laser based AV or a fotm weapon would make them more popular. The proficiency changes hurt them pretty badly though, I'd say +15/-15 shield/armor profile on weaponsand a removal of seize damage (seriously having your weapon lock up is bad enough) could go a long way to 'fixing' them.
Not gunna touch the amarr scout though.
