Okay most mmo games that have ranged type weapons you have to pay for ammo. Exmples would be: Eve, Deadfrontier, runescape, WoW (I assume), and many others. Not to mention that in games like The Last of Us it adds a little fun having to manage your bullets. Not only will this give you something else to spend your ISK on but it will also make the "spray and pray" tactic more costly. So my question is simple, why doesn't Dust/Legion have this and how many people would be upset about this? Also does CCP have any plans for this in the future?

I'd love them to implement this but only if they were also giving us different types of ammo.
Honestly though this isn't going to happen. Clearly CCP is only going to be making server side changes to DUST for the foreseeable future which means no new items.

PS2 doesn't charge for ammo. Nor for suits. Or tanks. Or aircraft. Or the mechanized heavy they have. The only games I have had to pay for ammo actually produce a profit with very little effort. So I really don't see how this would be a good thing. Maybe for you personally, but not a single other person in dust.
Paying for ammo is like a final insult when it is nearly impossible to make a profit as a new(er) player. You cannot buy ISK yet need millions to buy skill books to progress. Yet CCP has continually choked off the ISK payout for all forms public battles.
Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.

The only way purchasable ammo would be acceptable is in the case of different ammo types.
And in that case, stay away from: No tiers of each ammo type...............................ex: complex incendiary rounds /// standard incendiary rounds No buying of individual bullets...........................ex: buying 18,987,600 individual EM rounds No innately inferior/superior ammo types........ex: milita rounds < everything /// ++ber rounds > everything

Ammo is included in the gun cost. Until such time as ammo has variety, there's not much point.

This doesn't really add anything to the game other than an unnecessary pain.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

This. Different ammo types and the management of ammo costs would be cool but I dont see them adding this to DUST. |

nope nope nope. the game then becomes pay to win outright no blurred lines. esp as player trading is NOT coming.
