We was four of us from the corp that had the nice uppertunity to trie it, and we where not convinced. The gameplay and feeling was good.
But 3 of us felt that the grapich was not not, not close to the glimps we have seen . I also doubt in the long run people will sitt with the downsized tv on your head, to heavy.
Upside was you really felt like you where in the game, and where ever you turned your head there was action.
Just hope they dont get in to the Dust trap and release something with that grapich , that was not good at all.
I trie ti give as balanced input as I can on this , it was before we was kicked in the face on the Keynote

How did it feel in comparison to other cockpit shooters (freelancer, vendetta online or black prophecy?) Were Newtonian physics working? (accelerate forwards, turn 180, continue to fly backwards in your original direction of travel?) If it's not Newtonian, it is just vengeance wars for PS1 stuck to your face :) |

Sorry about my low understanding of english , but it was surely Notthing I have tried before, I was upwards, downwards, Upside I dont think there is any limits on it, I felt like I was really in a cockpit, but the feeling was also that it was kind of blury. But Yes it was exiting. |

Graphics, who cares about Graphics. Its all about the gameplay. Playerw complain for the stupidiest things.
If you run proto gear, prepare to suffer the consequences. You've been warned.

VR = graphics are important. They have to be smooth, or everyone's coming out with a headache, if not running off to the bathroom to puke.

Yea they said the same about Dust, we are in 2014 they should be able to deliver on Graphics and Gameplay. I still have my commedore 64 it was amazing then, Valkyrie was not amazing now.
I would say to watch a nature program in HD today is great, and surpisingly the content is good to. Your coment and views is some of the attitude as the Dev's had that eventually killed the game.
But hey just buy it and fly blury, I whant to fly first class. |

Downsides to oculus:
-heavy weight (as op mentioned) -motion sickness during longer periods of playing -unknown effects to your eyes having a monitor basically 2cm infront of your eyeball (dry eye problem like if you are playing in a dark room just with the TV on)
I still cant really think that oculus will be a success. Mainly cause you look like a total nerd when you put that thing on. |

It get's lighter with every new iteration that is closer to broad scale market demos.
Gamers in general specially on console are kinda tied to the idea of sitting and doing very minimal physical interaction with their gaming experience other then hand or finger movements..
Alot of others are excited at the idea of competitive gaming getting to the point where it is a physical and possibly intensive physical interaction to truly get the max potential out of your gaming outcomes.
This is when gaming will truly be a Sport and when sitting in a virtual environment where we can use some hardware peripherals and are suddenly Talking and hanging out with your Mother on the other side of the planet.. Or Having a consultation with your Family Doctor while traveling... Traveling in a Remote Jungle or seeing a famous monument.
The Limitations of Virtual Reality is really at the limit of the Human Imagination. There is more then enough scientific evidence backing up the human brains willingness to accept a virtual space as a reality. With that considered fact amoungst people in the field? Virtual Reality is the future of Digital Social Interaction and Entertainment.
