I sent this in as a ticket a while back. Two weeks later, I got a reply stating "Sorry for the delay. Don't send Bug Reports through the ticket system." Which is strange considering the fact there IS an option to select Bug Reports when sending in a Ticket. Mixed messages.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Get a vehicle in an area with a low roof above it.
2. Open the map.
3. The controller will vibrate like you have taken damage.
4. When you come back, the vehicle will either be destroyed (in which you exist the map automatically), the vehicle will have taken a large amount of damage, the vehicle will be jostled about, or it will completely phase through the ground.
And yes. you can exit the vehicle and activate inertial dampeners. You end up getting stuck in a weird black lake for several minutes unable to move until you die a few minutes later.
I was testing the bug in a Skirmish that had no one else in it (Oceania at off hours) and when I did it one time I was actually able to drive around a little bit and even see the world above me. If I had a Sniper Rifle and there were actually people in the map, I could have shot them through the floor. Sadly, I have no footage of this.
This was done not to exploit but to show that there is a fairly large bug in the game that may be open to exploit.

O hai joseph.
Did you NOT get the memo? DUST is dead. CCP care more about their PCs and would rather spend as few resources to update this game as possible.
I mean ****, we even had to ask 'does it require a client update CCP?' For them to assimilate the Assault Rifle with Legion's Plasma Rifle.
We shouldn't have to BEG our devs to fix something as simple as a wrongful name.

No Lynn, I know. I am getting on the same level as CCP when it comes to DUST: I don't give a s***. However, I still spent time making the video and trying to help the game. Figured I would at least try.

Yes, I posted about this a long time back.
The socket is called the satellite launching facility. Just having your vehicle inside and touching the d-pad in any direction will do the deed. It would appear that it is a macro for suicide my tank and myself by falling through the map because I am bored with dust. Or it is simply a map/mesh issue of which dust has many.
Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.
