Seems like the Starter kit is the way to go. At $0.75 you get a 3 day booster and 1250 AUR versus a 7 day booster, 2500 AUR, and a shitload of fittings I'm going to basically ignore.
COMPARATIVELY---
3 starter sets = $2.25 and you would end up with 3750 AUR and 9 days worth of boosters. So long as you are willing to sacrifice the all the vehicles offered in the Tactical Pack, you should be good.

NOW, to take things to their extremes.
I wanted to know what the resultant would be were you to purchase $100 of Starter Pack versus the $100 worth of AUR.
EASY ONE FIRST!
1. $100 = 200 000 AUR + 25 000 Bonus = 225 000 AUR
2. $100/0.75 = 133.3 = 133 (I round down if you are too ******** to figure out since I can't buy 1/3rd of a pack)
133*1250 = 166 250 AUR + 133 THREE DAY ACTIVE BOOSTERS (AKA ALMOST A YEAR)
Boosters = 2500 AUR regardless if Passive or Active, but if you've been buying 3 day passives over the actives there is no saving you from the level of stupid you exhibit.
133*2500 = 332 500 AUR equivalent value.
TOTAL VALUE OF $100 worth of Starter kit = 498 750 AUR.
CONCLUSIONS....
IF you are going to stick with the game, a reasonable investment now can keep you stocked up for every weekend for almost the next three years in active boosters ALONE!
I have spent $10 bucks in game and bought a BPO LAV code IRL for $5. This deal is making me think CCP's coffers are going to be getting a slight infusion from me.
TL; DR:
-If you scrolled down without reading, then SHAME! I write it, you read it
-$100 worth of starter kit is worth more than the $100 AURUM as long as you have PS Plus and the deal from sony on free to play games is on *MATH ABOVE*

Maybe not 100 dollars, but even $10 of starter packs isn't bad. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if new people come in because of the announcement at Fan Fest. With the apparent transfer of skills, etc. to Legion, there should be at least a few people who jump in now to build up their skills (if even passively) until Legion beta drops

I think you just have to buy them one at a time. Seems tedious. But I wish I was a secret CCP operative. Maybe they can toss me some $$$ from the marketing budget for Legion, since we all know DUST's was $0.
