Just thought it might be a cool function to have a command ship in orbit providing Bonuses to the soldiers on the ground as an alternative to orbital fire. Armor upgrades, shields, weapons, logistics, hacking etc
EVE players? Good at Dust?! Let the indiscriminate slaughter of PC huggers begin >:)

Orbitals can be avoided by a well coordinated team, what your suggesting gives a permanent bonus that is unavoidable. What I would suggest is that because Mercs have less of an impact on Capsuleers than they do with us, why not swap round the bonus? Let mercs give the bonus' to the Capsuleers.

1: they are called stackfire cannons (fires rockets), or OA (Orbital arty's, basically a big ass turret that goes pew pew at the targets in space).
2: We're getting a Crusader suit (hopefully) in Legion that'll do just that for a squad. It would be neat to get that for the MAV as well. Simply shooting down bonuses makes no sense though.
