In the latest CCP blog, there is talk of them being able to make changes back end to make weapon variations. This lead to talk and desire on CCP`s part to flesh out Officer variants of the newer weapons.
This got me thinking, how about super rare Officer Suits? I think there was one in game before, but CCP could make an Officer variant suit for a light, medium and heavy if they so wished.
How would you guys feel about that? What would you like to see? |

Balac's CK.0 assault suits already exist in game. They were a reward for the winner of the closed beta tournament.

that's a great idea! i would love something like that. I'm thinking that the suits should really stand out (some super crazy color) and also offer damage (shield and armor) as a bonus to any weapon and have higher CPU and PG. don't really think more slots should be added then its comparable proto suit. let get this done!

Also they are worse off than the current Assault Ck.0 suit. If I recall properly.
I would be game for some officer dropsuits. Though good salvage is already very rare for me. |

I want access to the C/2 assault bpo's. Never seen them in game and nobody will be able to make the milestone required. I think you need to bring in10 recruits through your link and all 10 need to earn 10 mil sp.

I would rather we get whatever the hell has been in prototype for so long. I do I believe its called Tech 1 or Tech 2 suits?, same as ships right?.
Im an eve newb who just got a barge so I'm not 100% sure.

Unfortunately CCP Rat-whatever confirmed that new models would be a client side update, which will not be happening. Unless you want every new heavy weapon to look like the current ones, that dream is dead.
Basically, in a nutshell, the only things they can do is tweak stats on already deployed weapons/suits. Meaning that anything new would just be a replication of old things with different/new stats.
Edit; He also confirmed that there will be no new maps. Though theoretically possible, it won't happen. You can find the answers here. |

Unfortunately I neither think that will be possible, nor do I have Barbie dolls. However variants is a very real thing and its being discussed by CCP as back end changes that they can make. At least they are talking about other Officer weaponry. (Server side changes) |

You need to bring in 50 dudes and have every single one of them achieve a grand total of 100k WP. |

Not sure if the modified Balacs even get the assault bonuses as you only need cal med 5 to use them. |

I would feel very good about that.
Shame that textures can not be changed server side so other weapons/dropsuits would not look very officer like.
So if appearence does not change, at least be very creative or plain hilarious with the suit lay-out or name.

If they're just prefitted proto I wouldn't mind but that is high as the power level as i would let it.

Why not?
Officer weaponry is OP because of its rarity, make the suits even more rare to match their power? It would be fun for the wearer and a great challenge to the others to kill that officer suit!
