Hello.
I had my mind set on buying a new PC for a while now, and I had my mind set on this. How well do you think it would run EVE: Legion? Eve: Online?
Are there any better Win8 hybrid-ultrabooks available? Don't be exclusive in your recommendations, as funding is of no real concern to me.

Tablets are not a good platform for games that require desktop hardware. There is a way to play Eve Online via a tablet but you need an active desktop PC, a tablet, and remote access to the desktop from your tablet. The frame rate is spotty at best and thus not a good way to play Eve Online outside of market trading or hauling or maybe mining. The downsides of this method become even more apparent and even detrimental to your gameplay once you get into pvp with it.

It won't.
The reason is that they have no discreet graphics card. You can run quite a few games on tablets, but not intensively 3D games like FPSes.

One more thing... don't buy a laptop. Those things are not normally suited for gaming unless you actually get one from Alienware.

Alienware is overpriced pos (Like Nvidia). Just build it yourself.

Honestly I never had a problem with Nvidia. Not once. In the 7 years that my Dell XPS desktop PC has been running, the Nvidia graphics card never gave me a problem until just late last year when it finally wore out from age and I had to replace it. Since I couldn't afford an exact replacement, I had to downgrade from a GeForce GTX 8800 to a GeForce GT 610 and I still manage to play Eve Online, Hawken, other games just fine with very little impact.
The only thing that my Dell ever gave me more problems with is the OS.
I use to have a gaming laptop one time that ran with an ATI Radeon graphics card, but that thing turned out to give me a lot of problems with updating the driver. The update process was too much of a hassle. At least with Nvidia I can be sure that my drivers can be updated without any hassle.

Save that money and build a BADASS desktop. Building a gaming PC today is no more complicated than putting legos together. http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/wiki/builds#wiki_the_crown_of_the_master_race
I just saved you 700$, now you can afford your mechanical keyboard, gaming mouse, headset, windows liscense and other other software. Also, get on steam.

Personally, I wouldn't touch a AMD\ATI product again until we see more mature drivers across the board, see a proper design for a reference cooler that doesn't sound like a jet taking off and the power usage under control. At stock speeds, the 780Ti absolutely destroys the R9 290X unless you massively overclock the R9 for you which need a water cooling solution.
Until I see the Red team deliver that, I'll continue with Nvidia. |

If you want to play Legion, dot buy a macbook unless wishing to dual boot it.
Most likely a PC version will come out and, regarding a mac version, that could take a while, if ever.
As long as gaming laptops go, theres other brands to be looked upon like MSI and Razer.
Personaly, i prefeer custom built desktops, they are the best solution as far as performance vs $ goes.

You should be able to play Eve online with just about any new laptop. You will probably have to be running it on lower settings though. If getting a desktop is an option for you, I would highly recommend building one.
