Shotguns are entirely too weak. I only find myself being killed by shotguns always. Always isn't enough. I think Shotgun users should be able to kill me through walls, floors, and heck. even from across the map. Please make them more unbalanced and overpowered. Could you possibly add a high powered scope too? Maybe add some infrared and heat signature to void any second rate cloaking device. The scope should be able to see through walls too. duh. meh, i just wanted to vent. I stopped playing Dust for a few months after GTA V came out. I could handle my own and could compete with other players in Dust before. Now I get on to see the new updates and I am constantly pwned by one shot kills from shotguns.
And I've encountered a lot more glitches now than when they first released the game. I have spawned under a floor only to be trapped with other players and killed by the opponent shooting through the floor above. I have spawned and have been killed before the spawn timer even completes and my character falls under the map and proceeds to fly downward. So yeah, I guess you could call this a troll? I think that term is used more than El nino.
The reason my post wound up on the forum, I contacted the developers via their FEEDBACK contact form. Not a support ticket. that was a completely different option to select. The wise GM sent me here. Admitting to me that developers can't read email or something. They can only communicate via the forum and/or carrier pigeon. Alas, I have no pigeon. Dear Developer. PLEASE BALANCE THE F***ING SHOTGUN. Spankya muchly.

What is your problem with the shotgun?
Generally only weakly tanked suits get one shotted (a lot get two or three shotted though) and the range is abysmal.

Well, I am renewed to the whole Dust experience and the updates. I am completely aware that I need to upgrade my suit and research the specs to be more competitive. I keep switching between several suits and trying out different weapons.
I learned what 1337 means by googling it

Yeah, it can be difficult to find something you want to stick with.
If you're having trouble with shotguns, why not try it yourself? You might like it or you might learn something about how to counter them. I recommend keeping your eyes peeled if you've been shotgunned a couple of times in a match - cloaks don't make you completely invisible, there's quite a noticeable blue shimmer on moving cloakers.

I will take your advice Arkena. I just downloaded ISK Vol 3 to get a better idea of how to correctly upgrade my equipment.

I've done this myself and it is pretty fun.
But then we're all scouts, and that's stupid...

Your problem is that you aren't getting close enough with the Shot gun. they can kill heavies in 2 shots if you are close enough.
they should never have a longer range, then they would be OP and every one would leave Dust.
tip:
If you see a shot gunner back up and fire at him since they do little damage from like 10 meters away and mid ranged weapons are great against them.
