Where games are concerned I think the hardcore would see me as casual but the casual would see me as a little bit hardcore.
So basically I'm middle of the road (the worst place to drive etc)
From this vantage point I would like to share my thoughts on some of the Corp's I've come up against by listing the ones I get sh*t scared of when they're all bunched up on the red side.
Maphia Clan Corporation - I feel like these original gangsters are going to hunt me down and stick me in a car boot.
What the French - I love France - not so keen on the French. Are these guys actually French?
Prima Gallicus - Prima means "best" or "first" I think - It's all in the name. These guys don't look down their sights they look down their noses!
Shining Flame - I get a hooded cowls, spellbooks and burning torches vibe with this mob..
Made In Poland - Going by the Poles I know - these guys will be drinking, laughing and making sure you stay dead!
THE CUN7S - I can't remember if they're good or not but they have absolutely the best name in the game, with Sir Wanxalot winning the overall greatest handle of all time prize.
Anyway I'll put some more up later. Which Corps make you linger over the 'leave battle' tab for an extra second or two?

Its not corps but rather certain individuals from other corps and there's about 10 for me.
It also depends on what they are running as I know what their preferred style is.
One such name is cere harkens, sniper. Guaranteed to tag you at least 3 times a match and if he didn't....then you'd know he's just feeling nice that day.

Honestly, none of those scare me.
I have had stacked matches where Maphia clan/WTF Q synced and I didn't even notice.
I don't check the scoreboard until the end.

I managed to single handedly defend a point from his team full of proto people and his blaster tank.

He has this habit of running in a full proto heavy in his tank, I had a scout remote explosive fit, got behind him and managed to fit 2, he jumped out I detonated them and popped his proto suit but not the tank
Hacked the tank and drove it into the redline, fun to see that go bang

Played everyone of those corps alllll day on euro server. Honestly, trip OB against clan then honestly cloned made in Poland. They were pissssed. Top guy had 4,000 wp they still lost. Our sqd killed 82 clones Lmfao.

Kinda depends, but if I'm in a random squad with no names I recognize on my team, and I come up against Q synced Nyan San, I'll just save myself the ISK and leave. Likewise if playing Min factional and I see ChicagoCubs4ever I'll leave. It's not so much the individual, it's knowing I'll face 2 full squads of proto.

Chan is San's sister corp. Not exactly the same thing, but the guys in San are a tad better than we are (lol).
As for the grieving, many accuse us of lag-switching and protostomping. I can confirm that we avid users of proto gear, but the guys I run with never use lag to their advantage. And if it lags for one person, it lags for everyone, so we'd be experiencing lag as well (I squaded with some Sans yesterday and the match lagged like hell. Went negative). We usually end up on top since we tend to use a lot of teamwork.

I admit I've been leaving battles with any of the Nyain's stacked up against me - I might stick around from now on and see if it helps me GG!

Nyain Chan is Nyain San's academy corp.
They receive a lot of anger towards them because they spam overpowered weapons in Public Contracts. Though you don't see much of them anymore due to the limit on vehicles in ambush being castrated.

I don't really 'fear' any corps as such but there are some matches where I feel my pride is at stake, when I'm fighting people I know.
I spent some time recently playing with a group called Dead Man's Game and now every time I fight them I go hunting for them specifically.

There's another French one actually, I can't remember exactly but something along the lines of Les Baines Sous... maybe... but anyway I have a general rule which is - if it's in French or includes the word French, they are probably gonna tear you to pieces...

the truth is, better corporations are the elites one. those who recruit by the level, or those who play with same people a long time before dust.
A little list:
Nyain San, Arhendee Mercenaries, Ancient Exile, Outer Heaven, Teamplayers, Imperfects, Fatal Absolution, Rainbow Effect, What The French, Red stars and some others.
They have the bests players, the biggest skills, and for Americans and Japaneses the better connection.
After you have all the olds corporations with old skilled players and very experimented players. I think the top 5 or 10 of their players may be compared with the level of the elites corporations. We all have wonderfulls talents in our teams, it's just we recruit all levels noobies.
A little list: Kill-em Quick, Maphia clan, Grupo of asalto chacal, Onslaught inc, Sver True Blood, Molon Labe, Hellstorm, Waravens, Dust university, The southern legion, Dark legion, vacuum cleaner, L.O.T.I.S., Planetary Response, United Pawnage Service etc...
French ones are: Prima Gallicus, Les Baleines sous Graviers, Astroya Guard, Les Dragons Rouges, Iron hawks, Les Templiers Amarr... (WTF too but they are elite)
If you met very deadly squads from them, they were just their bests players in this squad, so you were not lucky. Next time, maybe you will meet their noob's.
I think it must clarify your point of view.
Sorry if I make a mistake or if I miss someone. 
Maphia clan Unit unicorn is the elite team of Maphia, like Men In Black Ops for the Grupo Of Asalto Chacal.
Some of these corporations have more than 500 players, so if you take the bests of them, you don't have 5 or 10 elite players, but 30 or 40. So they can launch in planetary conquest 2 or 3 full 16 with excellent level, like elite corporations.

hmm, i'd say fighting a full squad of my own corp always causes me to question staying in battle, because pretty much everyone in my corp is OP.
when i face squads of former DNS corps in general, it usually doesn't end too well.

A little list:

I don't remember talking about fear... They are good players, efficients in the battlefield. But they are guys under a screen like me.
When we start a fight the spirit of the team is the most important. if you start with fear, it's lost. By the way it's a game, we are here to enjoy funny games.
Pression or stress when you know it's a full ancient exile or ahrendee against us, ok. But fear, not for the moment.
I admit In one of my firsts corp battles to defend our district, the dropship deployement of a Arhendee Mercs squad to attack our objective was pretty impressive. But I really enjoyed to see the timing of the whole squad in action... before they destroyed me by a big rush.
Better learn from them than fear them |
