I know CCP have made mistakes, I understand frustrations that some may have but seriously you either want the whole IP to carry on or you dont. If you dont then do us a favour and get off these forums.
I see many people around the game in DUST actually having more fun than ever before. PC 'seems' to be more active now that it was before, as for Legion - Devs are actually engaging with the community.
You know the nice thing? In the Legion sub forums people are positive - while still providing key feedback and voicing their concerns. We are NOT giving CCP an easy ride at all, instead CCP are stepping up to the plate as it were.
You come to this section of the forums and its people **** talking CCP, linking other games that have nothing to do with DUST or EVE. If I were a CCP dev I would not even bother visiting this section of the forums at all.
TLDR - if you hate DUST so much now then why continue to whine on? GTFO of here You are mistaken, we loved the game, the promissed future, and then we get smacked in the face on fanfest. Dont worry after 9 september we will never look back on this. In the meantime we will just protostomp all the time and have fun doing it.
September 9?
JULY bro.
Before Destiny launches on September 9th and tries to be the GÇ£best-selling new video game IP in history,GÇ¥ Activision confirmed in their recent financial reporting that the Destiny beta will start in July 2014. Since Bungie is partnering with Sony on parts of Destiny, the beta will appear first on PS4 and PS3, which you gain access to by pre-ordering the game.
During their investor earnings call yesterday (via Seeking Alpha), Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said, GÇ£Pre-orders for [Destiny] are tracking towards setting an industry record for a new franchise,GÇ¥ according to Activision Blizzard internal estimates. |

Hey, Tech--do you know if Destiny characters can move between platforms? Ie, if I preorder the PS3 version, will my toon be playable when I get a PS4?

Destiny saves can be transferred from old-generation consoles to new ones
players who upgrade their consoles can take their saved characters and progress with them, according to developer Bungie.
Speaking at a recent press event, investment lead Tyson Green said that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners could use their saved characters when they buy an Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
"We're interested in making sure that last gen character can move to next gen," he said. "A lot of people are going to buy Destiny on PS3 or Xbox 360 and then get a PS4 for Christmas. Don't tell me I wasted those last 100 hours there. So we're really interested in supporting that. Our longer-term platform plans, I couldn't speak to right now. But we don't want to lock people in." |

But some of us dust fans are still happy and here According to a voluntary survey, majority of Dust514 players support Legion. Don't let the vocal few in the doom and gloom party fool you into thinking they're the majority. o7 You think maybe there's a tiny possibility of a very slight selection bias in there? The survey was voluntary. If you can post in this thread, you could have participated in the survey. So I don't consider the survey biased. I on the other hand am very biased. I spent a lot of time digging for info on Dust514 and Legion. So it irks me to see people making up stuff regarding the topics.
Its one thing to ask if folks are going to continue on a free to play and another item entirely how many (if any) of those folks will continue to spend hundreds of dollars to fund a product from a company that let them down at Fanfest.
Its a biased survey. It only asks do you support.
Instead it needed to ask:
In view of unkept CCP promises and early termination of projects will you continue to spend hundreds of dollars on a CCP proposed project like Legion?
