my hats off to these players, they are determined and persistent, these guys will spend all match trying to get their RE's on the side of your tank.
you can kill them 100 times but they will just keep coming.
they do not use the standard Lav delivery system they prefer to do things the old fashioned way, and when they succeed and they manage to get all three Re's on the side of the vehicle and then they notice it barely puts you into armor, They keep trying.
you may be utterly ineffectual, but I compliment your persistence ^^ |

o7 Though I would argue against me being ineffectual. Some matches yes I will die 5 times trying to take out a crafty Tanker, but I usually can get two of them a match. Current personal best is REing 5 HAVs in one Dom. By far the most fun way to AV that I have found.

...process just needs some tweaks.
Cloak on approach, throw remotes from outside tanker FOV, airburst flux grenade, hit fleeing tank with PLC, detonate remotes.
This should have them soloing you in no time. Good luck hearing the RE beeps over your blaster fire!

On the flip side to those guys that use 2 forge guns and 3 swarm launcher synchronized attacks, with drop ship support and hav's, you guys are rare and by far not inneffectual, it's sad it requires that much to destroy an Hav, I hope things change for you soon.
Im on of those suicide RE users. it costs me 7k isk per suit. Have managed some HAV and infantry kills. Its a game. I like a challenge. Unlike some proto wielding try hards. |

The one or two deaths I usually get going after the good tankers would be much more rewarding if I knew I was actually costing them a decent amount of Isk. As is, the points just don't quite quench my thirst, so I have to keep killing tanks all match until I've gotten my fill and my RE's refuse to be resupplied.
No matter who you are, if you don't have good infantry support, the scouts who know what they're doing are going to get you. Months of tank oppression has left many of us bitter, and any and all kills made with RE's are a strike against the tyranny that is the HAV!

I get so many tanks with just RE's and AV Nades that I lose track. I also add to my watch list all of the tankers that are difficult to solo or downright impossible. I get them with my RE's and Nades. There is only 2 tankers I have gotten less than 5 times total since they made my list. That's Cloak Wolf Rider (I only went against him twice ever and never got him) and GP machine. Yours isn't on my list. This means either:
1) We have never crossed paths
2) I got your tank on multiple occasions.
I don't know how often you play. Just saying.

This is 100% accurate. The good ones will get you if you don't have solid Infantry support.

As an experienced Pilot, I can tell you that the most Scrubs Scouts rarely get more than one RE on my hull. All I have to do is pay attention. When I spot them near me or climbing on me, I put down my chips. With one flick of my thumb I can rapidly accelerate out of harm's way. Another button-press, and I instagib that Scout with my Militia Blaster. Its easy.
A good Pilot like me can pull off fancy maneuvers like this all the while absorbing Swarms and AV grenades. Because Balance. |

Yeah. Some of us are smart enough to engage one RE, escape, get the 2nd, escape, etc... and getting out to blow them up doesn't always works so well.
This is assuming you are one of those "i'm invincible b/c I'm so good so I don't pick my battles and just move on it". If you are the type that picks the battles and strategically controls perimeters, eliminates other vehicles, and provide support for infantry in highly populated fire fights then it is likely we don't cross paths simply b/c those are low yield opportunities for my style.
I do pick my fights and don't go after every tank with my strategy.
It sounds to me that you are more of the 2nd description of tanker I provided.

Wh..what are they doing with the other hand....
Anyways, I've had a lot of success on my scout alt with just 3 REs in the road and detonating them under the tank. Takes some more precognition, but saves me the trouble of needing a hive/depot to get that 4th RE.

I love to slide my REs right into that sweet crack on a maddys ass, or the two little testie balls on a gunlogi. This ensures you will die.
If I notice your tank has high hp I usually toss a flux and launch a volley or two of swarms and then detonate my REs. Ah, the sweet sound of tanks exploding.
Gun control is not about guns...it's about control.
The only way to ensure freedom is by having the means to defend it.

Nope, 3 REs and a flux or two is pretty much a guaranteed kill in my experience. Most of the tanks that sit still are easy prey.

well if it makes you feel better If you had of killed me multiple times in a match I would probably remember your name as well, since I don't I suspect it's probably that we've never crossed pathes, I'd definitely remember an RE scout that managed to kill me, i've never been solo'd by an RE scout yet.
I've died because of an re scout a couple times usually because it's timed well with an hav attack, but that hasn't happened in a month or two either. |

yep, sitting still is a pretty bad plan whether you're in a vehicle or playing as an infantry.
as any tanker should of discovered all of the rules of fighting as an infantry apply to fighting as a tank. |

what's interesting about the rear RE scouts is that if you reverse you deal them slight damage and then they tend to be left in the wide open with no cover directly in front of your turret, simply doing this is often time enough to result in them being dead.

I usually try and jump on top if the tank starts backing up. If i get bumped to a side, I try and run the same direction the tank is backing up and hopefully stay behind his turret. Doesn't always work, but I've managed quite a few tank kills with REs.
I love it.
