Alright so I'm the first to say that AV infantry vs V is fairly balanced. But I still run into things that bug me that clearly provide too much versatility to the tank pilot. Here are some of those things and a solution.
1) RE's should explode and do 2x damage in the red line. There is no reason a tank should be able to go to the red and my RE just disappears. Their should be some sort of consequence for being a sucky tanker and getting all of those RE's on you and not to mention your best idea is run so far away that there is no one that can get to you. I just can't stand that type of play and I think it's a shame to other skilled tankers. The only caveat to being in the red line are the very few maps that are very small. Sometimes it's unavoidable for the tank to end up in the red.
2) There clearly needs to be a delay in leaving and re-entering a tank. A) leaving and then almost dying and then getting back in is just a sign of you being a terrible player. B) I think it should be 2 second delay to leave a vehicle. During this two seconds you cannot pilot the vehicle and cannot cancel leaving it. Then it should also be 2 second delay after entering the vehicle for you to be able to pilot it. I think you get in and have to wait 2 seconds. So if I put 2 re's on you and you really want out then you have to pilot the tank away or get out and commit. In addition, if you are getting back in because maybe my AV failed and you almost died then there should be a period in which I can escape. Instant access to a turret when you are 0sh/0ar when you should really either be dead or your tank should be dead and on a bad day maybe no one dies.
I don't know about everyone else. I know they aren't changing sh!t but I still like the theory of a better game.
I will lay this out. Other than these rare circumstances in which I am nullified, AV vs V is balanced. I stand by this. I've played with a few swarmer people and it's silly.
These are changes to help deal with bad players getting away with continuous bad play. Because a mechanic exists doesn't mean it's a viable strategy. I don't think a little luck should be a decision maker for success in this game.
Yes, I get butt hurt when I think I should have gotten a kill/tank and don't because of pure good luck on the opponents side.
