Free-roam, Open World gameplay (as much as it exists in Eve) is a must on launch.

Spawning mechanics in general need a little bit of a rework I feel. The Gallente Research Facility B-point (or raised tier objective in the main outpost depending on map layout) is probably the worst offender for this. As you spawn you spawn directly behind the hack console.
Increased player density would be a huge positive though I think. As well as alleviating problems with matchmaking somewhat it helps keep the game more exciting. Less time would end up being spent running between objectives and the like and more time being spent fighting.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

As long as people have something to do while things are being balanced, they can wait for the proper tuning.
Yes, i understand it is a PVP game, tht-¦s what we all want, but public retention is trough PVE, and having something to do with a group of friends, and we need a public retention to justify the game. |

CCP is (most likely) not gonna compete with other shooters just being another shooter-it needs to rock out on it's most unique and industry defining characteristic...it's link eve online. If Legion can establish ( meaning full / interesting / fun ) interaction with eve online, that will draw players and buy ccp time to learn to improve and expand on the shooter side.
I'd really like to hear that legion devs have had some long talks and meetings with eve devs on where and how they can establish some link point and build something around systems in eve online rather than build a separate game and 'then' try to plug it into whatever it can with eve online.
plenty of ideas have been thrown around since dust's inception revolving around P.I., exploration, sov, and the market in eve. Yet has there been any collaboration with those in charge/developing eve-side of overhauling an existing system (PI, exploration, sov, fw) or implementing any new systems in eve online that will function with legion?
I think there needs to be a yes answered somewhere up there before they get too far building the other things that should be in place for a strong start: -NPE through PVE -a solid core gunplay foundation (hit detection, sensitivity, customizable controls) -player market -PVP (some base form of pvp needs to be there out the gate) -a foundation for E-war...not just pew pew mechanics.

I think you've pretty much got it.
Racial parity on existing assets like vehicles and heavy weaponry would be nice too but this game only needs a basic set of features imo.
The biggest thing we need is better frame rates and smoother controls. As long as I have that I could even play the current game as it is to be honest... |

I would bet on a copy-paste of the Eve character-creator. It seems so likely that it wasn't worth mentioning...but now that you mention it, social areas where we are not shooting eachother would make it feel like an MMO, with other people in it.
I've had a random in my squad ask if we were fighting bots or people. I had to insist that there's no bots anywhere.

Integration between EVE and Legion.
As a minimum it should be exactly as we have now. Shared chat channels, corps, planetary bombardment and planetary conquest.
I would like to see improved visibility of the greater EVE universe in both games. This could be from shared social spaces, or just being able to view Legion assets and avatars as item previews (much as we can already in EVE).
There needs to be some sort of indication to EVE players that Legion players exist and are doing stuff (tm) and vice versa. Personally I think the monitor in the captains/merc quarters would be ideal for that. |
