In ambush, there we veteran players proto stomp with tanks, logis, etc. Also guilty doing that. But I feel like when we proto stomp, we hurt the game more and more. The redberries dont even stand a chance against one squad of Nyains. With the Project Legion going on, I dont want CCP to abandon Dust.
So, I thought about a really complicated Tier tree for suits. The point where you actually have a choice to speck into "Accessories" that might have a negative side and a positive side. For example: I spec into faster boots, but it also get less armor. Or if I want to spec into a better helmet, I might have a lot of choices to spec into that can change your appearance. But maybe 1-2 can be fit for each.
Helmet Core Uprgrades -->
Choices: 1. 3.5% more armor / less field of view (Suited for Heavies)/ 2. Longer vision/less armor (Suited for snipers) 3. Smarter helmets: Easier to find teammates who needs ammo, rep, revival, under fire, etc. (Suited for Logies) 4. Can locate equipment better, hear enemy fire better to help them locate them, etc (For Scouts) 5. 2% more armor, can locate nanos easier, can locate enemy easier, etc. (for Assaults) 6. Smarter helmets for tankers, Lavs, and Dropship Pilots: Can actually have another point of view, other than First and Third. (This one, I really want Dust to have)
Gaunlet Core Upgrade-->
Choices: 1. 10% Faster Reloading/less accuracy 2. 5% Faster hacking/ little less accuracy 3. 15% high accuracy/ 7.5% less precision (More Sway) 4. 40% damage bonus for melee 5. Able to call backup (Call for help, request nanites, etc.)
Chest Mechanism Upgrades -->
1. Shield energizers 2. Lighter- Much faster (I say 7.5% more sprinting speed)/ Sacrifices a slot and a 10% less armor downgrade 3. Heavier- 10% more armor/ 8/5% slower 4. Cloaking device enhanced/ 45% less shields, sacrifices a low slot 5. 10-20 % more ammo
Boot Core Upgrades-->
1. 10% Faster sprinting 2. 5% Longer Stamina 3. Hiking Boots: Can get up mountains easier, jump higher, etc./ 5% slower sprinting 4. 5% more shield/armor
These are some I came up with. The more complicated Dust customization is, the more fun and different and much more customization options there is. The point to where it is like pokemon showdown. You can only choose 4 moves for a pokemon, but there is 50 moves to choose from. So 400 move combinations for a single pokemon. Imagine Logi suits actually competing against Assault Suits. |
