The only interest I've ever had in any of the corps political wrangling, backstabbing, roll playing, etc., has been on the level of people watching while sitting outside a pub getting twisted. I can't even stand anime, sorry SoTa This joke of a situation now where Spiro decided to call off the war after one morning of bloody fights is just perfect for demonstrating his colours ERA organises a disjointed mass attack, which results in a overall failure due to a number of reasons, but hey, such is life. Roman then gets those of us together that turned up and gives a big speech about this is just the start, that with the cash supplies of billions upon billions that ESA has we'll be tearing into the opposition for a good long time. WHOOP, WHOOP, just what I wanted after fanfest's clanger, a chance to run all my top gear against others doing the same regardless whether I lose or win is just what the doctor ordered. I switch channels then to hear fuctard Spero telling the surprised Roman, who had just given us the feckin post battles pep talk, that hey guess what, we're going to roll on our backs and call off the war. Egotistical fuctard is pretty much my view now, BUT, I've only myself to blame since I'm the one that joined up with no arm twisting involved, AND, I'll tip my hat to him and his for all the shenanigans caused. And that last sentence leads me onto this. We have New Eden, a game space created by CCP where hand holding is minimal, where political intrigue with all its backstabbing is not only allowed, but is actually something that CCP loves and makes sure that the game design facilitates. Planatary Conquest, Dust 514 gamemode where the objective is to take and hold land, the taking and holding of which can be done in whatever manner that the CCP implemented mechanics allow be they underhand or not. Ye get the hint. All the bellyache posting on this subject that so many on the forums do is an absolutely pathetic display of infantile heel banging because life isn't going the way they want. New Eden is all about what DNS, the last blue donut, Spero, just did and have been doing for a long time. And loads others have done so and will do in the future. Players with the dream of everyone getting into PC may get onto CCP to overhaul PC mechanics, because until they do, players will use all at their disposal to win, as is their right in New Eden. Honestly, people that play hurling, football, rugby, etc., that go crying afterwards that it's not fair because they want them to be no contact sports don't last very long unless they............................wait for it..................................HTFU. So much of life can be used as an example of this. Welcome to new Eden, and don't let the door hit ye on the way out if ye find the heat to much. A lot of corps activity is down but i think there LVLs may raise as PC opens up more and people get to fighting. what was really good to see is there is many good players out there that never got a chance to be in a PC get a taste for what its like. Let me know how it turns out for you guys though. Will it be 1 district, with a possibility of 5 to fight for that are not in the New Donut? 0? 2? Or are you joining the New Donut too? You might even get 3 in that case(gotta buy support somehow)
