Hello Everyone,
I am over joyed with the news of Project Legion .. I have wanted to play Dust 514 since it was voiced at one of the fan fest .. I am not a game console person , never have been .. Last console system I have had was Sega .. So I spent some $$$ and got a used PS3 once Dust 514 came out .. but because I am a computer person I cant play Dust 514 very much because the PS3 controller is beyond me ..
So with Project Legion coming out I cant wait so I can go back to using the keyboard mouse to play like I do in BF4 .. but I hope CCP will let people who currently have Dust 514 players a way to export them from Dust 514 and import them into what will become the World of EVE Online ...

DUST already supports mouse & keyboard play. It's not implemented well, but it still feels better than using a controller.
Character transfers from DUST to Legion are going to be implemented, but we don't know what things from your character is getting transferred aside from your name.

My guess is that there will be a snapshot taken of everyone's DUST 514 character, you will send in a support ticket about your character's name and what account you want to associate it with (unless CCP decides to just use our PSN account names, which I do not favor), and there you will have your "Legion" character. That snapshot will include everything you have on your character and then have it transferred over to "Legion." There will have to be some kind of thing in advance when it comes down to what to do with certain things.
For example, dropsuit BPO's are kind of redundant and will actually be worse than what you can get. Every dropsuit is a BPO in Legion so if you unlock the top level dropsuit, it is a BPO. This means my BPO's are pretty much worthless. What happens to them? What about other BPO's like Exile, Toxins, and Dren stuff? If they turn my 100 dollar Dren pack into a 100 dollar Skin pack I will be most upset; that would be like Walmart coming into your house and exchanging the TV for a fish tank. What about all those AUR dropsuits, the Mauler and the like? We dunno.
The snapshot may be in opt in thing or it might be everyone at once. The main thing is that the hour after the transfer happens, DUST 514 as it exists on the PS3 is officially dead.

Yea well I hope that why do something like that CCP Halldor showed with the three games and your char was the same across all three ... But guess we will just have to wait and see ..
And honestly didn't know about the keyboard & mouse .. would look into it but seems like a waste of money if its going to PC i will just wait and keep training my guy up .. |
