He/She may or may not cover your six if you're:
A) reloading in a corner, right next to enemies and need a few seconds before returning to battle.
B) Shoot an enemy who's on your six
C) Cover you while you hack
But you can bet the farm and the ranch dude that the blueberry will revive you at any costs.

I don't care about kd/r, so if they keep reviving me until I get to cover I'm fine with that.

they have realised their chances of killing anything that is not the equivalent of them on the red team is pretty low. However, they have noticed that they get more WP for a revive instead of that mythical kill.
As a result if they are going to die anyway they might as well get 60 WP for it. Swap the PG and CPU of the nanite injector with a rep gun or even the uplink, probably not that one, and maybe the blueberry's strategy will change with it.
Or else have the option to decline a revive.

Why does it have to be about KDR? It's about not eliminating threats before reviving. What sense does it make when there are 5 reds shooting in your direction and all a blueberry can think about is reviving the guy who lays underneath the gunfire?

If its skirm Ill to a,b,c and sometimes d if I am in a logi suit but Ill make sure its clear first at least  ...I am not held liable for any scouts that happen to turn the corner upon being stabbed with a needle.  ....
On ambush though  ...medic suit..run around with the nanite injector equipped and stab everyone no matter the amount of enemies around just stab run stab run stab run quite fun

There was a blueberry that was following me around for the longest time- until I got into combat, at which point they were nowhere to be seen.
