So let me get this straight, and I haven't been actively playing the game for quite some now so please correct me if I'm wrong here, guys, but this what I've figured out so far.
We've had a big Alliance, a blue donut so to speak, controlling most of the areas for quite some time now. Now what happens is, a couple of big corps decide to leave that corp and they ask for the rest of the community to come in and grab as much land as they can while the fights are raging. So these two corps allied with the wider community seemed to be doing quite well against the donut.
Now here's where it gets just a little but confusing to me but I'll try anyways. After taking a couple of hits, the donut's leader decides to stop fighting, booting his officers so they can't even organise their own resistance movement. Reason for this? Glad you asked: Because he loves battles! Wait... What? So excuse me here, Kain, and you know I love you as a CPM but where I come from things don't work quite like that. I mean when you're making beautiful love to hot babe, do you also stop because you enjoy it so much? Bro let me give you a tip, because if you ever wanna make babies you better go all the way.
Moreover, we've got people here, from that same donut I should add, trying to dictate who should get those lands... I mean that's like Germany trying to dictate who gets what right after WW2 ended. Again, it doesn't work quite like that my friends.
Now on top of THAT, and here's where it gets even weirder, we've got other people from that very same donut, claiming that they hate the whole thing and want to share those lands to the "community". Hold your horses right there because to me, and I'm just using common sense here so what do I know, if you truly wanted to do that you would have done that when you actually CONTROLLED those lands yourself!
That brings me to this whole thing about giving the lands to the "community". Excuse me but isn't the whole point of this planetary conquest thing to fight over it and earn it rather than getting it because you're "community". I don't know, call me crazy, but I actually love the fights and when I fight, unlike SOME people, I fight with reckless abandon. I'm not gonna go out there and quit just because I can't handle it. Yeah, I said it, and I'm not gonna take it back!
Who gave out my Monday to Friday phone number!? I don't wanna be getting any phone calls! I've put Dust way behind me!

How is giving away our districts to whomever we want going back on our word? Did we not get the memo about who exactly you wanted us to give our districts to to make you happy?
You don't get to tell us who we can or can't give them too. If that was your plan why not do it yourselves? Era has 30% of the districts they could have made a list of the reset corps and handed them out.
So who are we supposed to give them to KAIN where is this list of corps we are going back on word about?

Yeah we make promises to friends and we keep them. They helped us, and so we are rewarding them. After that AE is consolidating its districts to a handful and Kujo & Co that do not want to play anymore are retiring. He took back what he said initially about giving up all districts because there are still people in AE willing to play and fight for land, albeit not as grandiose as before.
See, unlike you we wouldn't just want to backstab our allies because they didn't agree with us. AE is giving districts to its friends because they deserve them, want them, and we have an established relationship with them. We can't just "give up" districts to someone we have no relationship with or don't even know about. You're honestly striving so hard to make the littlest of things a massive ordeal. Turning a mole hill into a mountain.
Like I said, it's understandable you're distraught because you're slowly becoming irrelevant. Sounds like you just us to renig on the offer and no matter how we do it, you and Sota will be spinning it some other way. We are going to laugh at you regardless. Yeah, some are leaving, some are staying. No one ever said, "we are giving it all away"...Kane, you seem at times like you may be smarter than your average bear, I really mean that. Do what others have told you to do. Have a little dignity and save a little face. Except you were outplayed on the field, by the meta, by the back room game and you lost. Get your ducks back in order, should only take you a month or so. Take some land from some corps that don't have much power, convince the new community on how you are doing it for their good and then wait, and wait, and wait...then you know what, someone will put the call in and we will be right back in the mix...

I was the one who proposed it and argued for it. Things are bad the way they are now - Fanfest ****** this game, tensions are high, PC IS NOT FUN FOR ANYONE.

Not naive all. We are pretty confident that AE will show the community their true colors. Maybe we'll get lucky and Steeldark will pull through on the current in-fighting over the fact that AE just stabbed the community in the back.
AE shows who they really are as liars or AE sees the light and the community gets back into PC. Perfect example of win-win.

Bro. You're a CPM and everything, I give you the respect and all but I'm not quite sure yet if you understand how New Eden works my man. Let me tell you because I know a thing or two about, from my personal experience no less, that it's survival of the fittest all the way. And now that I got started let me give you a little suggestion too: If you want to fight, fight. If you don't want to fight, then I suggest you manoeuvre your pieces just a little bit more carefully on that proverbial chess board.

Honestly, I want the PC board reset and AE has professed they would be the ones to do that. If they don't I will enjoy what comes afterwards. I've always hated land and this is a perfect way to get rid of it and show all of Dust exactly who people really are. I actually haven't had this fun in Dust in a while.
