Were basically B.S. right?
I mean the average person has at least two accounts logged in at any given time, so you can cut the "actual" number in half if not less right?
Meaning TQ would drop down to about 10k people at night?
Meaning Dust, this failure of a game, was already at 1/5th the size of EvE at the very least?
Also meaning that Dust is more popular than Eve was the first 1-2 years....

GG CCP. Bear in mind that all those accounts, even the duplicates and the people offline are paying accounts. Subscriptions. Eve is successful financially, and that's all that really matters. Compare that to the barely 4k peak players of Dust, and yeah, I'd call that a big difference.
So we actually have no data at all about how much Dust was or was not making.
I myself threw in $200 over a 6 month period, which is WAY more than CCP would get from 2 accounts in Eve over that time period.
On top of that Dust was hitting well OVER 4k (closer to 5k than 4k) on the weekends, which is around how well eve was doing in it's first year or 2 as far as actual bodies behind the keyboard. If the talking heads at CCP would have been incharge of eve then like dust now, eve never would have taken off.
The funniest thing? If you look at eve offline you can see that Dust had been trending upwards since 1.7 was released, albeit slowly. They finally released some content they had been sitting on and the player base starts slowly climbing up and they kill dust.

Two subscriptions lasting for 6 months would bring in anywhere from $143.40 to $239.40 depending on the method of payment. The former would be by paying a standard subscription in 6-month intervals, the latter would be by using PLEX exclusively and not buying it in bulk (probably by buying it from other people who wanted to make some quick ISK). So, no. There's not a significant difference between the two sums.
So,, you are just going to be a prick and make me break down every god-damn thing I say while you just throw out bull-**** eh?
How about this.. I could get 12 months worth of eve for 131 dollars... or hell, with the power of two I could get 6 months of game time for the equivalent of $50, meaning my total for two accounts would be $115, so how about you just do everyone a favor and STFU.
Yep, pretty big differences there dummy.
Izlare Lenix wrote:When I was playing EVE full time I had three accounts all paid for. I am too lazy to grind isk for three plexes every month. And 80% of the time I only had my main pvp toon logged on. I only really dual boxed or triple boxed when I was pveing, which is not often since I like killing people much more.
This was true for the vast majority of people I played with. They all had several accounts but mainly only used one at a time. Dual boxing in pvp is too hard and burns you out over time.
I would estimate that maybe 35% of the player count are dual boxers. But most are single players on a single account. I knew 3 guys who would iskbox between 8-12 accounts at the same time in order to farm wormholes. I garuntee you there are many many more like them.

GG CCP. Excuse my na+»ve question but why would people play on two accounts at the same time? Is it so one account can sit and shoot a mining laser at an asteroid like a mindless zombie in hi sec while the other goes into low sec stirring up the sh!t and getting ganked? I have a hard time understanding the pleasure people get from EVE. I've played it and it seems like such a job. Munch PvP with a logistics, ecm boat or just more firepower on 2nd account... Scouting and probing,, bait ships, opening cyno beacons for your capitals, spying/sabotage by having 2nd pilot in enemy fleet, being able to be active 2 different places in the universe when distance is huge, doing more high end pve with fewer people and so on. If eve is not fun for you then most likely you are doing it wrong, or maybe eve just is not for you, for most people its the former. Eve is about speed, angles, tracking, signatures, preperation and deception taking 20 minutes to go anywhere, needing at least 2-3 hours open at a time to play, definately at least 1 alt account, and being a master of spreadsheets in space.. or for some people its about huge spreadsheets :) Join Red versus Blue!
FTFY.

Because, you know, crossing out parts of what someone else said and making a sarcastic remark doesn't help your case. At all. Hey look my favorite stalker.
I have already said my piece in this thread, I just don't appreciate ANYONE is trying to act like eve has a lot of excitement.
Sure when you get ganked/gank someone, it is fun... that fills about 1% of anyone's playtime.
Oh and if people thought that the grind for affording suits is bad in Dust.... lol. Eve is just insanely grindy, whether that be sov grind, PI grind, Rat grind, incursion grind, mission grind, mining grind, or market grind... be prepared to repeat the smae exact action 80 bajillion times per T2 ship.
Of course you will find the occasional B.S.er who says they get 4 billion isk a month with 3 hours of gameplay, but you can disregard these liars/T2 BPO owners.

Sure when you get ganked/gank someone, it is fun... that fills about 1% of anyone's playtime. That kind of excitement would give me a heart attack if it took up anymore time than that. And I haven't updated my clone in real-life yet, so I might lose some skills if that happens. All B.S. aside do that immediately, seriously.
Also, when you start getting way up there in SP it kinda sucks becausethere is no way to PvP for cheap. Your clone alone cost over 20 million isk.
