I've always liked to think of MTACs as possibly being the Tech-III Cruisers of Dust, and I guess now for Legion.
To clarify for anyone that doesn't play EVE, an MTAC would be a modular vehicle divided into five subsystem categories.
- Electronics
- Defense
- Offence
- Engineering
- Propulsion
Each of these categories would have a number of options that allow you to customize the vehicle as you wish.
The goal here would be a more "generalist" vehicle that can be design to play the way you want and combine the traits of multiple specialist vehicles, but will still be inferior to those specialist vehicles in a direct confrontation.
This way you can be more flexible, but in return sacrifice a bit in regards to performance in each of the areas you prioritize.

I can't help but feel you're being more than a little too hopeful with suggestions for MTACs and jets, Mobius.
I know the key to Logibro's heart

I'm not sure a exo-exosuit that is kinda slow (unless its a space variant) that could probably only carry around a light turret in each arm would compare to the specialist hulls (I assume you are referring to the HAV, and DS).

Well it needn't necessarily be a Light Turret on each arm.
It could very easily be Mediums, or a non-Turret weapon system, and possibly even allow for non-arm weapons in addition to Turrets that could be used as a kind of bonus function.

They aren't that big, and medium turrets are quite large (MTACS are about the size of a large turret, so picture a large turret with a medium one on it lol). Also, where would a light turret go other than the arms? The shoulders are too small, and it would be silly to have it sticking out the chest (also would be too small probably to fit).
DO you know how big MTAC's are?

I want MTACs too but I would rather ask for something simple like an armored vehicle we can fit out. I think it is better to get it sooner than wait 5 years for a brand new system they would have to build just for them. |

I want them to feel like MechWarrior, not Titanfall of Duty.

I'm talking something more along the lines of the Walkers in Battlefield 2142, with a "body" customization system similar to, say, Armored Core, just with a lot less options since this isn't a mech game.

Good idea. The question that must be asked for MTACs is "Why should I use one beyond the basic cool factor? What can an MTAC do that a tank can't"
Sure, you could have them go where tanks can't but, they are still going to be too big for indoors.
Sure, they have effective anti-infantry capability.
The subsystems would be nice but, still you aren't positioning them for anything unique enough to be a real threat in a way that a tank wouldn't be.
Therefore, make them an effective CQ counter to a tank. They would carry small turrets but, would be able to do powerful alpha melee damage. They would be able to do a short sprint and then a Hulk bash. Also, they would be like tanks are to LAV. A tank that rams an MTAC takes a good bit of damage but, the MTAC doesn't take very much ram damage. These two things would prevent tanks from getting too close to MTACs and have to deal with them at range.
Same questions with the MAV. Answer is to make MAVs powerful Logi vehicles. I've covered this before but, will briefly state that LAVs would have the scout role only, HAV combat only, dropship is rapid deployment. Only the MAV would cover the Logi role with a vehicle aoe rep or a mobile supply depot.
