This is not a post question which game is better or who is better but more or less a question to the community and a statement from myself .
I believe that competition IS here , now you can talk about try-hard players and proto-stompers all you like but for me , I like when someone is trying to achieve success over me , trying to beat me or stop me and bringing their "A" game so to say .
I don't mind getting tank stomped because I can go and grab a swarm or a forge-gun and even if I'm out there by myself .. try to give aid to my team mates as well as kill some of the enemies efforts in the process .
Don't really care about KDR's or WP's or ISK's .. but the victory is what matters to me and providing support to my team mates is my focus , for the most part .. now I might not get many kills in some games but laying down hives , spawns or providing transport for friendlies and showing enemies signatures ... during the time that I fly or laying waste to opposing tanks and infantry while driving my tanks or LAV's gives me a since of comfort in my approach during gameplay .
I believe that there is a good level of competition in this game for the most part , even though you get some of the " get good's " and scrub calling and such , for the most part .. to me , the community of DUST 514 has some good competition in regards of their player base and have a system that is set up ( which could be more instructional and not so much in the hand holding department by percentage increases or damage boosts or intake reductions or greater amounts of pay in their take at the end of a match but a more hands on approach in the informative aspect of the game and it's settings to players when they are in the academy during at least the first one point five million of the start of said character . ) to help progressing threw fazes .
I believe that the community gives good competitions and this player base is passionate for the most part .

I mean , granted it was more competitive before the mass bio-massing but speaking from an overall game playing experience , it's not that bad compared to a lot of other games out there .

for some odd reason. the american server is actually playable again ever since fan fest.im assuming its got something to do with all the proto stompers to yell dust is dead and quit the game.i dont have any solid info about it yet though. its just a guess.
mlt vets are eternal. they shall be the bane to proto scrubs everywhere...

That was the point of writing what I did .. but at the same time I was serious about the skill level of competition in-game and the fact that it is good and is better than in a lot of other games .
