I'm having this issue with Soma's and Madrugars. I don't have this problem with the Sica's and Gunlogi's.
I use to have the Overdrive Mod on the Soma and Madrugar. The vehicle movement speed for my Soma's and Madrugar's are 1020.00 km/h and they MOVE LIKE SNAILS! Although my movement speed for the Sica's and Gunlogi's are only 303.75 km/h and they move ALOT FASTER. "ALOT FASTER"
That's my problem. Can you fix this issue? Does it have something to do in the database cause I use to have Overdrives? If not, what can be done? |

The documentation in Dust has never been complete nor accurate. Tank speeds used to be in meters/second like everything else and they were reasonable. I don't recall if the bizarre values for tanks speed came in Uprising 1.0 or 1.7 but they are not valid. Just ignore them. The developers have not responded to fixing it that I have been able to find. I always just used it as humor, here I am chasing a tank that is three times (slower/faster) yet we are nearly the exact same speed. Unless fuel injection is used (note that fuel injection is inaccurate and the older nitrous module would do this, not F.I.).
The armor tanks are slower by design. The developers stated (through CCP dudes) that they start slower but have a higher top speed. I seriously doubt that is the truth but there is no place to test without coming under fire. Shield tanks are lighter and accelerate much more quickly.
If you add armor plates to either they will slow up, the more plating the slower it will be. I have driven tracked vehicles (not tanks) and even the big heavy ones rotate in place much faster than armor tanks do in dust. It is probably another physics problem they didn't get right. Like a heavy not being able to step up a curb.
Almost forgot, the older speed boosters (twin chargers and the like) are gone. The ones you have in inventory are the only ones you will ever have, they are not in the skill tree nor the market. I would be amazed if they still worked.
Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.

Madrugar's and Soma's are armor tanks and are supposed to be slower, the injector just helps you to reach max speed faster.
Gunloggi's and Sica's don't have the level of armor plating(their armor is essentially energy, which has little, if any, mass to it, therefore they will be able to move faster than something extra weight tacked on it.
The speed stat is not correct in the game. |

Oh I know they are no longer available. I have 20 of them left and haven't used them since I found out they were taken off the market. BTW, they still work. I can put them on the Soma, Madrugar and the tanks will run quicker. I use to use them on Sica's, Gunlogi's cause they were the Armor tanks and ran slower. |
