DUST 514 then Maximum number of players on at one time : 9,255 as of May 15, 2013 a day after the release of Uprising
DUST 514 now : 2,740 player with 3,529 players as a max in the last 24 hours as of May 8, 2014 almost a week after announcing Legion over the DUST 514 keynote, CCP keeping quiet about questions from players, so called PC master race people wanting to show their face all of a sudden, players feeling ripped off/used and etc.
Source of information.
For the players going to Legion who just made a DUST account to say PC master race remember something, these players on the console gave up their time to make suggestions, making great to god-like fittings, making guides for new players, and a lot more all for DUST 514. Without them you guys wouldn't even have Legion which, by the way, contains the suggestions from players on DUST 514. No I'm not sour ( I own a gaming desktop as well but am more towards not playing Legion) but it hurts to see fellow gamer(s) getting ripped off and such.

I just don't see the point of progressing in Dust anymore. The game is dead, and honestly, why prolong it? Probably so customers have less ammo to request refunds  I'd rather CCP devote every second to this Legion thing.

CCP is making the choice that they think would be better but if it ends up the same way (legion being dust under a new name but same problems) then they just moved the trash pile not getting rid of the smell and the health hazards with it.

That 9k was for like one weekend.
On average we've probably been at around 5k, if not a bit lower.

Legion may be a good game. In theory, PC development can be more agile and flexible. If it launches with PvE and player market then it starts with two strong legs on the ground that Dust didn't have...
...that being said, CCP shitting on the console players is pretty much one of the shittiest things I have seen a game developer do to it's customers and I say that knowing EA exists.

They royally ****** up one of my favorite franchises: SimCity I will never forgive them for that... yet CCP and this Dust debacle beats the SimCity-murder.
