CCP got the ammar and gallenti scout suits mixed up.
descriptions
gallente scout
reinforced with armour plating, the gallente scout is a formidable infiltration unit
+ 3 passive armour rep
ammar scout
innate armour repair keeps the ammar scout actively engaged on the frontline
no armour repair
being that the gallente scout has +5% bonus to scan radius and scan profile per level, which is arguably the best scout suit vs the +5% bonus to stamina regen and max stamina per level which is the worst scout I believe that the descriptions are right but the bonus has been given to the wrong suit |

This hasn't been addressed, great find. I'm sure this will be getting patched in Legion.

hmm, I didn't notice that. though in eve lore, I'm pretty sure gallente are usually the rep tank and amarr are hp tank. this obviously doesn't apply to DUST considering the gal scout can still get 756 armor and 220+ shield, but even so.
you know what, the descriptions and lore of DUST are just screwed up.

I think this is part of the problem - everyone rolls gallente scout because its so strong, no one rolls ammar scout because unless your playing only ammar wtf would you play ammar scout?
no gallente scout would QQ about having free enhanced armour rep on debatably the best scout suit, and unless you play gallente scout its unlikely you would know about it

I don't think that the OP is talking about play styles more than their trying to get the lore that was created by the same people who created the game , to me more in line with the actual game .
They were suppose to be rebalancing the medium suits and like you OP , others have pointed out the same about the same .. so hopefully they will address that as well as suits like the Caldari heavy having the same stats from basic to proto tiers .
The honor of the vets who biomassed will never be forgotten and will always be upheld until the very end .

only the gallente have passive reps its part of the lore

they have too many advantages - this was pointed out before implementation.

Dont lump my scout with all that riff raff. All the scout suits can get to a large tank equal to a assault. The most dangerous scout a is not the one with 700 plus armour but the one with ewar or speed. (Lighting, moody, biscuit, king, bor to name a few.
