I've been looking around for a future-tech themed FPS. I currently own BL2 and I love it; but it isn't as 4 rl srs as I would like. I've downloaded Warframe and plan on giving it a try this weekend.

What are your thoughts on Warframe? Are it's updates worth a ****? Does the dev have ****** F2P monetization policies?

Is there anything else out there that's going to quench this thirst?

P.S. - F2P is not a requirement. I'll shell out some cash for decent game. I'm cool like that.

I tried PS2 about a year ago, right as Dust was coming out and even in 1.0 Dust was more fun. Also, doesn't PS2 lack PvE?

I would suggest warframe or killzone shadow fall right now but when Bungie releases the big gun Destiny you should go to that.

I completely forgot about Tribes! Tribes was great fun. Good suggestion, thanks for that.

I've never heard of Section 8 Prejuduce before. I'll check it out.

Every time I look at Destiny I just see a reskinned BL2... Maybe that isn't such a bad thing. I'm going to wait for it to launch and see some people play it before I drop $60 on it.

Warframe is great. A lot of game changeing patches are coming soon so the game may go from stable to Glitchfest514 in a heart beat. Thankfully, they get to fixing the bugs right after launch. Sometimes on the same day.

Sadly the pvp isn't very flushed out , and is mainly just something to do when screwing around with friends. Or testing damage numbers.

Warframe can, and will get grindy at times. They have plans to make things less grindy but there is no eta on it. They dont give eta's any more because they said they can never live up to them.

I recommend watching there latest devstream to catch up on the latest updates, and updates to come.

Money wise, The game isn't pay to win. More or less, its pay for convenience.

Try Lego Movie the video game. It may not be a FPS, but it does have robots.

This is exactly what I needed to know.

I don't mind grinds so long as the game is engaging.

There are no good FPS's out there, at least not on PS3 anyway. It's all become watered down Call of Duty clone bullsh!t.

I have an Xbox so I'm lucky I can still play Halo 4 and Gears Of War, f#ck Dust.
