we've seen the suggestion atleast 10,000 times and the concept is pretty simple, think the BF4 test range with more people. the ability to test weapons, vehicles and even run wargames & tactical scrimmages in a virtual environment where no ISK or fits are lost but no SP is gained.
its supported by the lore as Templar One starts with vince training in a virtual area while his body is being constructed.
listening to Praetorian and Z in Zion's recording they seemed dead set against it. why should players be forced to waste SP and ISK to see if weapons fit their playstyle?

I'd also like to know roughly when in the recording Pratorian/Z commented on this.

its another episode of CCP knows best. keep in mind they thought it was a good idea to announce legion during the dust keynote and let people fire from cloaks. instead of insisting they know how to make a great shooter (they dont) they should copy or expand on more of the features that are in great shooters like BF. |

Deal breaker 4 me. I refuse to do the back and forth with ccp making dumb decisions. If necessary features arent added and stuff like murder logis, broken plasma cannons and weak assaults are in Legion ill just play planetside2. |

thank you, yes it starts at about the 45min mark and its extremely disappointing and puzzling. Its the reason we're starting Council 1359 as the CPM is essentially powerless and its too much to ask players to keep supporting Dust if they insist on making headscratching decisions.

No, I want a district, a planet to train on. Why can't we do that? Well we could, and they are.
Only that this is a sandbox, and if a group of people want to come and crash our party they can! And we'll just fend them off with an army of drones at our disposal.
I like this idea better :)

Agree, im not spending SP to test weapons in the future, if CCP cant the value of training rooms they just dont get it. |
