In all the uproar we didn't advertise this but there is now a channel for those who would like to hunt tanks. Bring your FG, Swarms and anything else you like and let's make some tankers cry. I'll be there tonight, message me if I'm with another squad. If we can get three or four together it will be fun.

Does my tank count as AV. That's predominantly what I use it for.

I've got a friend who recently started playing Dust, and he said he joined a Forge Gun squad that concentrated fire to insta-pop just about anything.

I believe tankers who kill tanks are welcome to A/V U., according to the founder of the channel. Personally I hate all tanks, but not all tankers. In my view we should limit it to infantry AV.
I do agree that tanks are better at AV than any other fit, that is why I want a dedicated channel and group. Most of all I just like making tanks go BOOM, but I also want to see how IAV can fare against tanks. On the forums a lot of posters, usually tankers, tell me how easy it is to kill tanks and it may be possible I am just really bad at it and what I see is biased so I want them to show me how they do it, or STFU.

Just to clarify, when I say I hate tanks that means I want to kill each and everyone that I see, not that I don't want them in the game. I can't kill them if there are none.

Anyways, I'm all up for this. Coming on with Triple Damage Mod Forge Gun, Dual-Swarm Commando, and invisiAV Scout. 3 types of RE's and 2 types of Proximity mines. LAV BPO for Jihad Jeeping.

I think I've finally mastered the art of the Jihad Jeep and I'll gladly help. One game last night I blew up six tanks in about 7 minutes and they just kept them coming! Granted, it cost me around ISK 240K to pull it off, but it was so bloody worth it.
I'm rubbish at tanking, but with around 10500 damage from 3 remotes and 4 scrapflake remotes, it just about does it. Death to all tanks!
Using the mass driver exclusively since 1.5
Because I can't aim...

I think you were on of the 2 or 3 blasters that actually gave me trouble though in at least one match.

and while in little proto blaster tank against a single swarm user jumps out like a ***** before the tank blows up

My observation about tanks; when they aren't a problem taking them out isn't a problem. When they are a problem, taking them out is a problem. When they are raping you, its time to go to your own private Idaho.

i have experienced proto rail gunners, GAL ADS 4, and an experienced RE hotdropper- we go after tanks and we go after enemy dropships, i understand tho if not and no hard feelings but i wont be like leaning on you guys or w/e and i dont rage, but it's cool if your not for it. if you dont want us to kill enemy dropships we won't. |
