From the EvE keynote it was shown that they plan to have each character that can play any of the 3 games, I think this is a great idea but questions:
Does that mean I have to pay the monthly subscription to play Dust/Legion or Valkyrie?
I have an 11 year old EvE char (yes from about 23 mins after TQ went live) and a 38m sp Dust char how are you going to reconcile this into one char?

Needing a sub for Valkyrie or Legion? Highly doubt it.
How they'll deal with people already having different characters for different games? Not a clue, that's probably the biggest issue they have to solve.
EDIT: They themselves probably don't even know - it's just a way they want to tie they're three games together. |

Maybe you'll be able to jump from your EVE character to your Valkyrie or Legion characters like when you switch between jump clones without having to relog into the different games

That was my point, I wanted to make sure they were thinking about it

It raises some interesting questions.
You could imagine they could neural burn your Dust character into you EVE character, though it raises some concern about using that as a name change essentially. Something we know CCP is vehemently against (for good reason).

I donGÇÖt expect we will be combining characters. Sure, I understand that you want to min max your character, but I think when they introduce the ability for your character to step between games it will be more for the new players and the overall concept.
Your EVE character will have as many skill points in DUST as any other EVE character the day the crossover becomes available, but you will have a DUST character with a lot more Skill points.
This feature is really more for the immersion. It does not technically provide any benefit over playing the two games with two separate accounts. But the idea is really cool! I like the idea that my EVE character can get out of his pod and fight on the ground, and I can totally see putting Fox in a Shuttle to fly to another station.
I will probably continue to play my existing characters in each game, but if I need an alt, I wonGÇÖt be making a new account, I will use the account I already have in the other game.

Also I personally doubt we could have 1 character on all 3, with how lore goes. One account for all 3, but not 1 character.

One thing I kind of worry about is the ability to dual box.
atm I dual box eve and dust. Playing pubs while I mine in eve, with an integrated character though would you lose that ability?
For that reason alone I probably wouldn't want to make full use of EVE Universe Services.

I disagree with you about subscriptions. Eventually it will happen.
Monthly subscriptions is the goal of CCP. It fits in with their current business model and helps pay for new development. They are a business and businesses are created to make money.
Believe me, if you want to play in the EVE universe, you will be paying to do so no matter which of the games you play.
