Will the cost of skills and items increase in Legion? Say its 70k sp for a level of a skill in Dust, in Legion that skill could cost 1 mil sp. Which would mean our 30-40 mil characters would only sum up to be a few weeks worth or even a few games worth of sp if CCP decide to inflate the cost.
So instead of our 2 years worth of time and effort being transferred over it could be watered down into just a few weeks. So what im asking is will our characters have 2 years worth of sp in legion or just a little bit more than a new player starting out?

Devs state our investment will be transfered. Not the SP. So we will probably get like how much effort we maid to get stuff like Active Skill points earned and ISK farmed by matches (and hopfully not by District owning).
What is clearly logic is that SP in its base value will transfer to another amount equal to the value of the new system. So if you have grinded like 500 hours. It just would be fair to get this time in the new game on your char as SP in this game.
I hope you get the point.
Stuff like passiv SP shouldnt be tranfered in my opinion becouse its not a effort.
But things like payed passiv booster SP should.
And paid asset should be transfered to ether items ingame our the ne F2P currency in a fair value in the new system.
Hope I could help you with your question.

Hope I could help you with your question. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2135709#post2135709 The devs never said "yes investment, no sp"
They have been trying their best to avoid making anymore empty promises, so they're being as vague as possible.
Even IF CCP said they were gonna transfer over our investment now, I'd take it with a grain of salt. They made so many empty promises that after a year of weighing the scales, never panned out.
CCP's "Community trust" strategy is to look at what is being spammed on the forums by their customers, and makes sense when it comes to marketing their product. They promised they were laser focused on the ps3. Eve players raged about no dust on the PC, and how the ps3 was a dying, last gen console that held no future.
Then CCP went back on their promise.
Don't listen to ANY of CCP's promises and assurances. Listen to which way the QQ is flowing, and right about now, it looks like its flowing in two directions. Browsed the eve forums and saw a few posts complaining that we would have so much sp and experience that they wouldn't stand a chance, but it was quickly shot down with logic bombs stating that's how Eve is anyway.

Actually, our sp will probably be able to unlock more things than it is able to now according to the second presentation.
1. Basic items won't cost as much sp, and specific roles will cost much less to skill into.
2. Specific items will be on separate nodes instead of just lumping all of one type of item into a specific skill node with 5 levels. This means that skilling into the assault variant of something will only cost maybe 100k sp instead of 600k, but there will be 6 different nodes for each type of weapon.
3. The specializations at the end of the skill tree, high meta weapon unlocks, and other end-game things will most likely be the big costs. If you have 40 million sp I'd assume you'd be able to skill into every role, and quite a few of the racials though.

I do not believe they can think of, and give us the equivalence of our sp's and isk's fault ... So what is happening is ccp and sony ...
None of us have to be harmed by what is happening ...
And knowing more battles now depend on the meta level, I thus can not create any difference with what is ours ...

Was this the CCP presents, or the round tables? If it was the round tables unless a player got permission to record and place it up somewhere CCP didn't do any of the round tables, that's been a fanfest attendee only source of information. |

Dust 514: Progression - http://youtu.be/vxhrGVv0NuQ
Nodes are the skill "circles" in the skill tree, each node has 5 levels. They want to remove this and make it so that each node unlocks something or upgrades something so that you're not wasting sp on levels that you don't need to spend sp on.
In the case of weapon variants, each weapon variant will be a separate "node" to unlock in each role tree. You will unlock assault weapons in the assault tree, breach weapons in the sentinel tree, etc. This way if you just want to use the tactical variant of a weapon, you just need to skill into that specific node instead of skilling into the general weapon node now and wasting sp for items that you will never use.
