Instead of adding or trying to build a fps and a flight sim as part of a game meant to be a point and click mmo, CCP should just start from scratch and rebuild eve online to include Dust 514/legion and Valkyrie. A lot of the problems they have come from being restricted to building around eve online.
I think CCP's vision has grown into something that can't be done correctly without first building a foundation meant to include all aspects. This means, that CCP needs to stop trying to merge three games into one experience, and just make one game that offers three different experiences.
One game, with one login, with one character where depending upon how you leave your quarters you can either end up experiencing an fps (Legion at this point), a space combat sim (Valkyrie), or the Eve Online as we currently know it.
Rebrand the everything, the whole entire thing as one vision and game. Eve Universe. |

yea but how they go about doing it is the big question. do they plan on frankensteining the three games together after the fact or will they take the time to build one game from scratch that incorporates all of the content, mechanics, and vision of those three games.
if they go with the frankenstein method, theyre going to fail. |

EVE and DUST already use the Captain's/Merc quarters. If Legion and Valkyrie use the same quarters and all games share the same market and communication channels, all they have to do is make the quarters the path-to-game where you can choose to either un-dock, go to a planet in a merc clone, or fly a fighter in a valkyrie clone and they have one game. Just require PLEX to undock your EVE ships and EVE can stay pay-to-play while Valkyrie and Legion are free-to-play.
