Most of the players who were ranting in the first place left DUST 514 EVE: Legion forever.

I've played enough games to know that they all have their ****** parts. I'm not one of the whiny bitches who threatens to quit when the current situation isn't going their way.

And I've played enough games to know that there are many better than DUST 514, and many worse than DUST 514.

You stating that finding other games wouldn't be an improvement is not only a sign of arrogance, it is also false.

There may be a small personal improvement, but games are never much different from each other as far as having problems.

A minute improvement from a slightly different detail is nothing to completely drop a game over.

Aside from how people actually play the game or ***** about how others play the game, for the most part dusts community is very well spoken and mature (with the average player age being 30+, I have seldom met people younger than 24), unlike other games I could name (league of legends for example, where most of the community thinks you *MUST* report at least one person per match played). With that also in mind, the complaints and ranting that has gone on is all *completely legitimate*, people have a lot of concerns that are not being addressed or assuaged by CCP, alongside with the *active silencing of any who dissent*.

The 'dust 514' keynote was a piece of crap where they did little more than announce that they were making legion and pulling support from dust. The rants about the CPM are valid because the CPM knew about this for anywhere from 3-7 months and only one of them had the decency to step down in protest.

This is a PR nightmare and CCP deserves all of the fallout they take from it. They threw their game and its community under the bus, and we're mad as hell and we're not going to take this anymore. We're not numbers, and we are not unpaid beta testers.

See, the Legion announcement is what has me frustrated. Well, Legion itself hasn't got me frustrated. The way it was announced is what's frustrating.

But even more than that, the vision CCP present for DUST / Legion in the Progression and Sandbox presentations, it doesn't mesh with my vision our what CCP has established in EVE at all. From the very beginning I said this game needs to be more like EVE, not less, and the vision presented is much less like EVE.
