Especially with how they only say 'next-gen consoles', I'm feeling like they might be wanting to go the M$ route, which would probably go over well with the PC crowd...

It was last year's Fanfest all over again, too much hype. This hype, however, left a horrible taste. Plus, the EVE guys won't help the PS4 guys in any way, they'll be too busy helping the PC guys. We'll be second rate citizens until we learn better...

I can't argue with you there Mr GTA, you guys have every right to be pissed and not trust CCP. I know after that stunt I won't be giving them any money in DUST or in Legion until I see a level of commitment and transparency that we've all kind of grown to expect.

I hope to see you on the other side, but if not, I hope you find better games and keep bringing the fire

I agree, we have to continually drive that point home to them. And honestly, I think that's something they really want to do too, they just don't want to commit until they're certain. From a business perspective, the more people they can market this game to, the better. They can use the PC Legion test server to optimize patches and get things moving faster, so that way they can bundle it all up and go through Sony QA that much faster.

It is a fraction of a game, and has had zero optimization passes - knowing the system reqs at this moment requires either a crystal ball or spot of palm reading. I do NOT engage dropships with my Missiles for any reason other than to scare them off long enough to call in my Railgun lol. I can't play with M/KB, at all, so I'll have to invest in a controller, but I have more than enough time. I'll be at a disadvantage on the ground but then again, I don't plan on leaving my ship much. Hopefully I can piece together my corp once Legion hits and get a bunch of pilots and mercs working with my pilots. OUR DROPSHIPS WILL BLOT OUT THE SUN!

A rudimentary contract system may be initiated by special ships, when they latch onto an enemy freighter or outpost, where predefined contract rewards are designed to attract the most highly ranked mercenaries, to attack/defend the freighter or whatever (you don't want to destroy the valuable ship and cargo - and you don't want to fly through pirate controlled space without predefined mercenary contract... insurance). Do-able....just don't let those devs scrap any more plans and then waste the next six months sitting around in fun concept planning meetings...deliver something ASAP - green-light Legion.
