What feedback are you looking for?
I'm platform ambivalent I'm only interested in fulfilling the end goal, meaningful battles for and ownership of land, directly influencing New Eden.
So the basic feedback is yes, starting again on a more capable platform was a good idea.
I've watched the demo a number of times now, and tried to wade through all the blah blah blah noise, this is what I can come up with looking, to be corrected where I get it wrong:
Current state: Skill tree revamped - still don't fully understand it - detailed dev blog would be nice Playable levels - bigger and more feature (environment) rich Deployment from starmap - much improved HUD - roughly the same as now Vehicle deployments Better terrain movement BPO's for suites and they will be customizable (skins) The suit fitting, weapons and modules will remain the core part of customizing a merc but not all weapons/modules may make the transition.
Questions: The demo looked like it was a standard ambush, are the battle types we have now going to be there from the beginning or will it be PVE only?
Is it planned to for the battles to be permanent a la planetside 2 or timed like we have now? Is it planned to have something like skirmish 1.0 that everyone loved?

From the keynote it seems that the suit's aren't going to cost a lot of currency, the modules that make it up are going to be the costly stuff. Meaning the, "BPO breaking the economy" is going to have much less of an impact. I really hope they can be carried across.

According to the pre-game page thing, it was supposed to be domination. Interestingly, in the description it said there is one objective to capture and it changes location every five minutes (or something like that).
As for the rest of it, there just haven't been enough details confirmed to give proper feedback. Right now I'm most concerned about the progression system and how the items/economy will work. Could just be the was he worded it, but I wasn't crazy about the whole common, uncommon, rare items thing CCP Z talked about. |

Yup, not enough details yet for sure, I could not go to FF this year, so missed all the round table talk
Probably best to sit back for a few days let the devs get back to the office and get us some details that we can digest and iterate over.

Not to sound to pessimistic but hopefully they actually do this time. The thing that will kill my interest in Legion faster than anything else is a continued lack of communication or more "they'll start talking to you soon". |

More likely people with Dust bpo's and Aur items will have Aur refunded and transferred to Legion, Im pretty sure bpo's (or any items) will be not transferred.
Aur, Isk, Name and SP's probably will be transferred in some way, But time will tell.

I agree, but to be honest I really don't care if any of it get transferred over, I guess I'm looking at it as if Dust was a POC and Legion will be the real game, 80% of the enjoyment is the journey, if we all start from scratch and have to work our way up again so what, we will have great fun doing it.
That said hopefully the devs have learnt from Dust what not to do, and how to prevent the grind somewhat

Sounded too much like Battlefield+generic mmo bs to me, im pretty sure he is out of touch if he thinks thats what anyone wants. The problem with Dust has nothing to do with it not being enough like Battlefield or a generic mmo, the fact that it was NOT is why people stuck around.
One of the biggest strenths of Dust is that dying can "hurt", It adds alot to the adreanaline rush, I was like: "wtf is this guy talking about" during the Dust Progression segment, Anyone else feel like that? |

That was a red flag for me too, but then I realized that probably only applies to salvage, which I don't have a problem with. When I first heard it I thought he had just renamed the tiers but didn't actually change anything about them.
The only thing I'm worried about is having weapons and equipment overly itemized by roles, but the example he showed had Logis unlocking each of the different types of assault rifles, which surely will be on the assault progression as well. So I assume that if you skill into one role and then decide to skill into another, any skills (or unlocks I guess) that they have in common will already be unlocked for the second role if you already unlocked them in the first.

Yeah, extatic about Dust coming to a better platform, but still convinced ccp has some serious issues with their marketing department :p |

No idea I'm ex A.N.O.N not really played Dust since it disbanded, I've seen some of the other HvLP corp members post and if I were near my PS3 would have changed corp by now as what they are saying I do not wish to be associated with.

Yes. Specifically the, "your suit = you," concept which doesn't seem to fit. I like the skills and weapons being linked to roles but you can still mix up and customize your suit however you want though.
However, it's just an early concept. We're only looking at the rough draft.

One thing I'm curious about is if suits aren't split into racials until tech 2 what are the pre-racial suits going to look like?

I can't remember the details, plenty of rage and hate, nothing that needs repeating.
Heading back on topic, I would love to know what CCP sees as important linkage to EvE, what they are targeting for launch, will it just be the orbitals or do you aim to have linked economies from the start?
I'd also like to know what you guys think is imperative to have from the start?
I would like to see: Linked economy. Linked PC with proper benefits for both sides. Clear indications on what you are fighting for and what difference the battles are making.

Oh and PLEASE do not concentrate on the graphics if it in any way compromises content and game play!
We the majority that want the end vision care more about content and gameplay than reflections and smoke. Do what you did with EvE get the gameplay right then upgrade the GFX engine down the road, several times if I remember
