After finally hearing they will make some small changes and keep it alive? I am happy.
I have only really played this game and honestly I still love it, frustrating as it may be.
Will I go to legion? Not sure but probably.
To those that are mad I whole heartedly understand! I was and am very dissapointed in the way it went down.
To me its just a game I play to shoot people in the face, and it looks like I will be able to do this for awhile longer.
Love the community and love the shooting see you all who decide to stay . |

This is what I was waiting to hear.
When it comes to DUST development I can tell you that we are currently looking at changes to Planetary Conquest, further iterating on item balance after Uprising 1.8 and some matchmaking improvements; all of which will be deployed as server-side updates. We currently don't have a date set for when you will get these updates.- CCP Rougue

We have not yet decided how this would translate to the new items and progression system in Legion, but we want to make sure that the time and effort you committed in DUST 514 is carried over to Project Legion.
Ya know, I don't know how I feel about the possibility of transferring SP and ISK.
I don't want to be back at square one with a ****** player base again because vets are stomping.
If matchmaking comes, then this is a good thing, otherwise GTFO.
....OR do you think the new PC playerbase will overlook this because of the HTFU mentality from EvE they are familiar with? Would a better built Dust 2.0 give players the incentive to overlook the skill gaps? |

Their plans for NPE are something along the lines of having a Hi Sec planet with harvesting and PvE, basically something that would in some way or another be off limits to vets.
That's all it needs, is a way to separate noobs from vets unless the noobs CHOOSE to engage the vets. That option should remain, but they should naturally be separated at the start as their characters grow and they become more familiar with the game.

That's a really good question. I can only assume that they will offer a tier system, and if its two years away there will be lots of skill points accumulated by many

FIrst I was super happy.
Then I was super mad.
Not im just happy but still a little mad at Rouge and CCP Marketing department.
The summer of rage almost bankrupted ccp and as a result they lost some of their independence (bailed out by capital fund), CCP is like an idiot savant sometimes, but they are still my favorite devs (eve = only real mmo). |

The game is still the same game we've played for months. I will continue playing until something better comes along. I'm not going to go out and buy a ****** Gen1 PS4 and some **** release title just because Hilmar is a high functioning reGÇáard. I'm just not going to let Dust affect my future purchases, like it may have prior to FailFest. Legion? I might. I might not. For now, it's broken ass Dust in as-is condition til at least Destiny beta.
GG, everybody.
Best of luck to all of my One-Armed Bandits, my homies in SAM-MIK, and all the Logis in the Funzone.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I was really upset with CCP, but I still really really like dust and I'm still going to play until I run out of isk.
Heck, I loved dust so much I started a webcomic on it, but I won't be finishing it any more... maybe. Actually, I don' t know. At my peak of Dust love I was actually having Dust dreams. lol. I'm a loser. But anyways, I actually wrote an entire script for my webcomic (had just finished it a week ago) and had started doing design work on different suits and characters before fanfest came out. That sort of killed all my ambitions.
My only exposure to the Eve Universe is Dust, but I got to fall in love with Eve in that short time. I loved reading about the Minmatar uprising, the loss and attempt to reclaim Caldari Prime, the return of the Empress Jamyl 1. The eve wiki page was my favorite reading pastime. I daydreamed whole fan fictions of Templar 1 and Thale, the sniper. I got to participate in the Templar Hunt as Templar Renegade 215! I can't explain how much I loved the universe. More than Star Wars. More than anything I've ever liked before (except for Sailor Moon, Silent Hill and Utena).
So I doubt I will ever delete dust. But every game will now feel... I don't know. sort of empty? maybe? I don't know anymore. I don't really have any plans to migrate to Legion. I play consoles because I love video games, even though I don't know much about them. I don't know anything about the tech side of games so building a PC seems too hard and expensive, but a ps4, I just save my money and *boom* I can play games. Easy.
Besides, the eve threads already make me feel intimidated. They are some seriously hardcore gamers (with very little sympathy for console gamers) and hardcore gamers scare me (an example of a hard core gamer: I went to go buy Lightning Returns because of the dress spheres and I like Lightning and RPG's and some guy in line told me that it sucked and I was dumb for liking her, and we were complete strangers. who does that?).
anyways, I don't know where this post is going anymore. I guess I just wanted to get that off my chest. maybe I will finish my comic. I think it could be cathartic and a nice way of saying goodbye. Maybe I can time it so the comic ends with the arrival of Legion and I can say ciao for now without raging, without feeling like CCP is evil, and still keeping my love of Eve intact. Because Eve is still awesome. A whole universe of mystery, adventure, and intrigue... and I was a part of that. Even if I never really did anything important.
tldr; sorry.
Thale groupie (not the gun, but the man).
My other car is Utena.

New link to a great round table posted by Zion Shad.
This really answers a lot of concerns about the future of dust/ until/if legion comes out.
PC will be getting an overhaul/ and possibly faction warfare allowing things like team deploy.

I still like DUST, but even with the minor fixes and updates... that's it, nothing more; no new maps, no new modes, no new stuff and all that (unless CCP decides to add more things in the future to keep it alive till Legion arrives) I played this game a lot since I got the closed beta and I even forgot to play other games I own just to be here, to always shoot people in the face and to keep my sp and isk high... now that doesn't matter anymore but I don't feel bad about it, now I'm somehow "free" from this game and I can finally focus in the other games I own, of course I'll still be playing DUST but every now and then instead of lots of hours every single day.
I really needed that release honestly, and I better use all that freedom till Destiny arrives.
