Is CCP using the Unreal engine again or Cry for Legion, or something else?
Is free the play system with Aurum items staying? This is a big question many have and one I hope is answered sooner rather then later compared to some more technical questions of time frames. I realize we still do not have a green light as of YET. I think many are nervous and excited seeing the log in screen with the same character used on all three games. This brings me to another item.
I have two Eve accounts that each have three characters that have more skill points than any of my Dust mercs. I do not mind the notion of merging my Dust mercs skill points into them to save my SP for Legion but I do hope situations like this are being looked at ahead of time.
Thanks for your time and I do notice more blue on the GD section today. It is appreciated. |

1. I know its unreal engine not sure if 3 or 4 though. I'm thinking CCP is using their heavily modified version of UE3 from dust on legion just with improvements from UE4.
2. From what I've heard it may or may not be free to play. CCP is still deciding but its probably going to be free to play. |

The CCP presents demo looked decent graphics wise for a pre alpha I thought. Curious. |

It's all smoke and mirrors man. Of course legion has been green lit. Why would they spend the dust keynote showing a tech demo for a different game they may or may not go ahead with. It's Just CCP's f'd up way of communicating.
But I'm not hating on legion at all. It looks beautiful, everything we wanted dust to be. Whether the final game looks as good as that demo who knows. Must have been running on a monster PC. I've heard rumours the engine is unreal 4, just because Valkyrie has also switched to that, but who knows.

You know nothing, Jon Snow.
All Legion bullet point lists are pure fabrication.

I appreciate the response but it would not be the first time they showed something at fanfest and not followed through with it. They do look at the response but not always go that route. |

Iv seen interviews that quote free to play if so unreal 3 as a f2p game needs to be assessable to as many people as possible. Could be wrong |

it looked more than decent, it looked like a finished game, not pre-alpha. Maybe an indication of why the monthly dust updates have been so haphazard and full of bugs for the last few months; shanghai has been working on legion.
The whole presentation of legion looked like a polished product. Graphics, nice UI, everything.
The whole thing feels similar to the first reveal of dust on the carbon engine, way back in 2009. We never got anything resembling that on PS3 obviously, but will legion be the same? A tech demo that wows us and builds hype, then a game that under delivers?
Oh CCP.
