In this blog/article/whatever, CCP VP of Product Development, Sean Decker, says himself that CCP did not make a great game (talking about Dust of course), and that Dust was just a bump in the road that they have to learn from.
Is that really all they think of us?
Quote:"And honestly, we didnGÇÖt make a great game to begin with. It has to be a great game. We did all of these things to try and, we tried to do too much honestly in terms of connecting it into the universe and thereGÇÖs this MMO piece and all the rest of it, blah blah blah, as opposed to, 'I have a blast second to second. I love this game second to second and I love it minute to minute, hour to hour, and so on and so forth.'" Apparently CCP tried too hard to make this game better, and connect it to the Eve universe. I guess Dust players mean nothing to them...

Pretty much every article written pertaining to Dust/Legion has some sort of facepalm moment in it.

Pretty much true, though. Dust is not the game anyone envisioned it would become. Most players have taken long breaks, and many never returned.
The current build reduces the customization options for players, since the suit skills only encourage players to use certain weapons and builds. Individual modules are nearly useless.
I stopped enjoying Dust when uprising launched, the breaks kept getting longer, and now I might log in once a month to see if anything has improved. |

It is literally painful reading everything they've put out around this from a PR standpoint. Their attempts at damage control are almost worse than the initial reveal.
