So people are still obviously worried, confused, disheartened etc about the lack of talk about DUST and the huge show for Project Legion.
I for one can't wait for Legion and I will fully support it, really happy it is coming out on the PC too - props for that.
LETS GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME!
Everything you have learnt from DUST please use that experience going forward. Many people want to use KB/M however DO NOT forget about controller support for those that like to use controls.
I read that you may be revamping the shooting mechanic - lets get it right this time! (Better hit detection etc...)
As for everyone who is worried about aim bots and stuff - USE Punkbuster and the other anti cheat systems available.
(Like I heard on CEO pyrexes stream , are aim bots any worse than cloak glitches and modded controllers? anyway once systems are in place on PC there is not any real worry needed about aim bots and stuff...)
A commander mode, would that be possible? I just feel like as a community we need to iron out any bugs right now. Lets do it right this time.
By the way - IT IS VERY POSSIBLE to get a PC that will run games well for the same kind of cost of a PS4. There are many articles on the web about this. |

Everyone pumped for Legion, because it looks so good and everything, why do they forget that Dust looked gorgeous at one point? Has the 'PC master race' really blocked that info out?

Right now its not tangible so yea. However Dust was NOT the game that CCP described to me back when I used to play EVE.
Legion looks like it can be that game. Being able to roam a universe like you can in EVE sounds awesome. Looking for rare weapons and rare loot in pve and then having a chance to bump into players that can steal everything from you? Awesome!
Cloakers sitting around waiting for an easy target, a whole universe instead of just Molden heath. I just want to make sure IF this game materialises, it has solid feedback from the players going into the game so that we dont have the same mistakes and issues we have had with DUST. |

If you can buy the parts of the computer and be very selective with the choices, you can put together a cheap rig for under $600 and still be able to play Eve Online fairly decent. Less if you can find salvaged computer parts at a junk yard. Trust me, you will be amazed at how many people throw away good, fully functional electronics into the trash. There is a junkyard down in Homestead in Florida haply called "Mount Trashmore" (it's pretty big so you can't miss it) and rumors have it that they let you get fully functional electronic device including salvaged iPads and iPhones for as low as 25 cents.

- Commander Mode
RTS with real players, some basic clickable instructions like League of Legends (Target - Heading there - Retreat - Danger - Marking a Location) for visual support of units on ground, and managing the resources to be deployed in battle (Vehicles, ammo drops, dropships with reinforcments, orbital strike locations). The regular map screen, but with enchanced commands for the role.
- Open Map
Capping the number of people in a location restricts the use of a barbarian horde to overwelm a tecnical superior opponent, and instanced battles should be restricted to tournaments/practice, no the real thing. I do want to wait until dark to kick an opponents flag while he-¦s asleep.
- Restriction of deployment
Warbarge in place should be a must for deployment. This makes high-sec, faction warfare low-sec and NPC NULL "newbie friendly missions" available trough NPC warbarges, and if people want to go non-NPC low / npc null, they need capsuleers for that. This brings balance to those that just want a quickie and dont want to worry about mission availability and those that want to go deep in PVP and planetary conquest.
- Farms and field
If people want to secure a location, they must spend money and resources to defend it. Turrets, Drones, Fortifications and of course, players. If someone relies too much on automated defenses, those can be disabled by hackers and a good blops team (or several orbital strikes). If they want to use people, do they secure clone bays for a quick response (low-maintance / hackeable) or do they have deployed grunts in the quarters? (Spending human resources patroling an area instead of conquering more).
- Restriction of logistics
Sometimes i don-¦t have the item that i want on the systems market and have to jump 6 systems to get it in EVE. Legion should be no different. Items must be stocked (and therefore subject to steal/destruction) on the planetary bases (armory), on the warbarge (RDV delivered) or the planet system station (space elevator). Things already on the plannet have immediate access, while transporting stuff trough elevator should take time to be automatically delivered. This helps the defenders, but who said sieging was easy? You can sabotage the delivery routes, you can capture the station and forbid items of going down, and you can take down the defender warbarge, leaving the defenders spending their resources until they perish by themselves.
