Alas, I feel that this point must be made.
The PS3 is a dying console. Porting Dust 514 over to the PC (under a catchy new name, no less) was the best decision CCP could have made. Not only does it eliminate many of the restrictions caused by the PS3 and PSN, it also gives EVE players easy access to the game and puts CCP in a position to easily port to the XB1 and PS4, as the two consoles have an architecture that is very similar to that in PCs.
Even if you are a console player, the fact remains that Project Legion is probably the best thing CCP could have done for the game. The PS3 was going to die eventually, and it would be better to get this out of the way sooner rather than later. |

Agreed. PS3 wasn't working, CCP had to do what they did. In 3 years time we will all be laughing at this minor event. I will probably be getting a better PC sooner or later.

Porting it would be good, yes. But that isn't what is happening, at least not what they released. It is just a new game and develop would slow for DUST 514. They could have spun this whole thing as "DUST 514 on the PC; we are not quite sure what that means for PS3" but they went with "a new game based on the DUST 514 IP."
If Legion is just renamed DUST 514 and everything transfers over, I will be sad for those that can not or do not want to transfer over but the game will grow. If DUST 514 was on the PC from the start, it would have been better. CCP knows more about PC design and we would have had more players. If it was on the PC, every single EVE online player would at least try it out.
As distasteful as the analogy is, DUST 514 is like a child. It is one thing to miscarry three weeks into pregnancy and an entirely different thing when a 1 year old child dies. Basically, CCP should have had the miscarriage rather than have us come to term.
I think we care more about DUST 514 than CCP does.

Therefore,I have a ps3 and xb 360 all i need is to buy a 419$ gaming desktop to play the rest of the games...because i wont be getting a next gen....then again i could buy a nextgen console on amazon for 380 - 500$

You are right about the "less" part. It won't last past 2015. Once Sony stops supporting the PS3, CCP will be forced by necessity to port it and abandon the PS3. They would be forced to do the same thing they are doing now next year anyway, so what does it matter?

Easy, we ask a PS4 devellopement, AT THE SAME TIME than PC, Cross-Plateform.
IT IS MATTER.
Pc F2P are all full of hacks, on a lobby shooter, ok don't give a fawkes, on a game like that, would be hell.
I don't have a decent pC, cause i hate playing on Pc (Powerful enough to play LoL ), i hate PC faggots (Console faggots are real too, but way less annoying).
On the other hand, Eve is on PC.
