More accurately, Valkyrie is on Morpheus. They want that game on VR platforms, and Morpheus just happens to be PS4 compatible. Likewise with Oculus and PC.
Also Valkyrie is way less ambitious than Legion, it's basically a dog fighting VR tech demo that has no connection with the EVE universe like Dust/Legion will. |

Integration with the Eve Universe maybe? It would also need to be compatible with the PC version. And this is hard. Basically impossible. Because then they would throw away every advantage they have on the PC and would once again be in a cycle of writing patch, having no test server for the PS4, creating a bug mess on the PS4 version, having to get every patch checked by Sony, having to delay PC patches for that reason.
Valkyrie is different, because apparently Valkyrie won't directly influence the Eve Universe. There's no problem with a PS4 version there.
