Has CCP discussed the update frequency for Dust 514 with you? Legion is going to take more than half of their development resources, I'm sure. Does that mean we will receive a patch every what.... three months? Four? Six?

The official word is that we'll get patches, but they won't include new content, just bug fixes and rebalancing of existing content.
There's only the sticky thread about Legion to base anything on until the next dev post, but they have pretty clearly stated there WILL be further patches for DUST.
I'm leaning towards the expectation that any patches will be coming EVENTUALLYGäó. |

From me to you guys in all honesty
There is no answer yet; its not because it is nda or something it just doesnt simply exist right now. I am sure if there is enough interest and means of doing it; 1.9 could become a reality. There are still plenty of things left to fix and improve in dust 514 so the need for a patch is always there the question is how much justification can we gather for it to make it so? and what feature would it be? The yelling is to a good start by you guys but it leaves the question of what to put in it? Saying the sky is the limit would be an absolute lie though. So I have no idea what things you or I could ask for at this time or if at all for 1.9.
Hotfixes are something that shouldn't take too much to get through just matter of time and subjects of how much can get adjusted.

Thanks for the reply IWS. I know the community is in a riot right now, and while I am still incredibly pissed at CCP, I can respect you being on the forums and twitter.
I remember being told that there might not be a 1.9 and thinking that meant we were getting an expansion... I feel so naive now.
It's liberating though. I started playing a few games I had shelved for a long time. Dust doesn't have any kind of power over me anymore... When I uninstalled it I didn't feel sadness, I felt like it was the right thing to do.
This is not at all what I expected from fanfest...

We knew we where going to lose alot of people, CCP knew it as well but I think in just opinion of my own that they slightly underestimated the numbers probably becuase they didnt factor in the ps3 wind-down is effecting which games are getting played to a degree. Despite all the warning it doesnt change the simple fact that not everyone can follow us to legion and the CPM has to stay to help those in dust primarly still since we acutally still have players where legions are non existent.
I mean if its any consolation there are two'?' CPM member(s) getting left behind as well becuase they do not have a PC.

iron wolf has already confirmed that 1.8 is the last patch they know about.
