 Referencing to this:

"So do they see Dust 514 existing a few years in the future? Does the game have a future?"

"How many players do we have?" Decker asked about this hypothetical future. I told him I didnGÇÖt know."

"Neither do I, so thatGÇÖs the question. I mean, in terms of three years from now, if there are tons of people playing it, and people are really enjoying it, weGÇÖll keep doing it. And if people are like, GÇÿyou know what, thanks for all the fish and weGÇÖve moved,GÇÖ then we wonGÇÖt. ItGÇÖs as simple as that, and I think itGÇÖs true for any game service."

Clearly talking about future not this day

PR fiasco from Fanfest and putting Dust in maintenance mode (= no new content) will surely help them keep the playerbase.

Keeping the player base doesn't matter much to them, honestly. As a dev I wouldn't be to worried about keeping 3,000 players.

 You're right. It's more like 4000

(In case you didn't know: The number of players shown when you log into Dust includes Eve Online players. Dust bunnies are only a fraction of that number.)

 Just a heads up:

4,000 is the current average of daily unique logins.

The number of frequent DUST 514 players (unique logins of players over a bi-weekly period) hovers around 100,000.

Just wanted to let you guys know.

Don't be silly. The devs don't know the numbers, so how could you? Also a silly number, it's obviously twelve of us forum warriors and our alts only.

Don't forget to buy more aurum, this is the only way to save dust!

Legion is the new Dust anyways, not held back by old hardware. With all chars migrating to Legion I don't see any reason why they should keep Dust running. I mean we get what we wanted, just on another platform.

 LOL

If they can admit they knew it was bad, why couldn't they take the manpower invested in Legion into rebuilding Dust from the ground up so that it is not full of bugs and terrible mechanics?

They managed to do what I thought was not possible a day ago and made me respect them even less with this.

Incidentally that's what they were saying they were doing... while they diverted shanghai monkeys to prepare a demo for fanfest.

Good thing we at least managed to drop some dimes on that. Seriously, I would hate my money go towards the game I can actually play and I care about. Funding a ****** demo was something I dreamed about.

But it's PC! Everybody knows there are no good games on consoles, duh. Playstation3 was the problem here, literally no game on that ****** 8 year old console is even close to Dust in depth and quality. But the hardware was holding CCP back and they need to expand. It was a hard decision, sure, that's why they did not know how to tell us. Finally CCP can lose shackles of ****** hardware and fly! (Because it did not start on PC only to get aborted there, no, stop this crazy talk!)

So now it's time to get even more Aurum. Because maybe some of it will transfer to the next CCP FPS experience!

 No problem.

I'm not against Legion, since it's mostly what we were all promised with Dust, but I really despise how they're treating all of us Dusties.
