Sold out to legion - they were suppose to represent us and Dust 514 - they represent Legion and it's future more.
We've been abandon by our own reps.
This is our council - why do we have it again? So that CCP can get other people to back stab us with them so they don't take all the heat?
Working as intended, I guess.
Tell me more on how hard it was to back-stab us when CCP was shining beautiful images of Legion in front of you. |

CPM are just players like us that know a little more about the direction things are going. Despite the illusion of choice they have on the goings on, they have no power. Though they kept tight lipped about it, you need to go after the real enemy here.
This community is the nail in Dust 514's coffin, waiting to be hammered in.

It's quite the nice read, they even go so far to say how special they feel that they helped killed Dust and helped Legion. "Closest interaction CPM's ever seen!"

Mate, they've all betrayed us. CPM, Devs, everyone at CCP who knew of the plan. I'm not bitter because they've decided to abandon the PS3 and go PC - that's life, that happens. It's a reasonable decision given the context. What I can't stomach is that all these c**** have known for months that this was going to happen, and they knew perfectly well that as soon as we learned of it that we would stop buying AUR and boosters for what is essentially a dead game walking. And not one of them broke ranks to do the right thing and let us know.
But as recently as yesterday morning, before the "DUST" keynote we were still being encouraged to give CCP RL money. That's some cold s*** right there, it was fraud, and can never be forgiven. |

My guess would be that the bare minimums of the contract stated that anything that was discussed in pre-release meetings was off the table as far as public discussion. In a nutshell, if CCP hadn't already made something public, the CPM's would be in violation of the NDA if they made it public themselves. They would be parties to the contract regardless of whether or not they quit their position as CPM and it wouldn't matter if it was about Dust, Legion, or the Cookie Monster. Anything discussed between the CPMs and CCP that isn't already public knowledge is protected. I'm not happy with the CPM's, but CCP did have them by the balls.
Nobody wants to get sued. Violating a NDA is a pretty big deal, legally speaking.

They were NEVER our reps. They did it for THEIR own personal gain. They are to blame for half of what's wrong in dust. If CCP did not do what the CPM felt was 'right' they should have quit. I PERSONALLY think they worked for CCP all along. |

Don't focus on this. This is a distraction. EULAs and TOSs aren't legally binding contracts and if a player breaks their terms, they might be banned from the game. There will be no legal consequences. The NDAs that bind the CPM are legally binding. Would you risk any kind of legal action at all to tell us anything if you were a CPM member?
No. You wouldn't.
The CPM aren't responsible for this. If anything, I get the impression they used all their influence to try and stop this, when they say things like "CPM1 is going to be very stressful" and the fact that none of them (except one that I can't remember) are running for re-election.
I'll say it again. CPM aren't responsible for this. CCP is. Solely and completely. Don't let the CPM be your scapegoat and remember where the blame lies.

Look, you and they can make as many excuses as you like for the CPM (and I agree they were legally in a bind as far as NDAs went) but the bottom line is that the CPM/CSM exist, essentially to protect we the players, from the bad and arbitary decisions of CCP. The CPM failed completely.
We as DUST players have been treated in the worst way possible. Not only did CCP decide to cancel our game but they decided to do it months and months, and not tell us so they could conduct an elaborate scam of the DUST playerbase. The CPM were involved in every stage of this deception, and the fact that they were unable to even alert us of the scam just goes to prove how f***** useless the CPM is.
The bottom line is that the CPM as a group and as individuals are utter non-factors. They are useless in every way; even the Pope's balls have more utiltity. The lesson to be learned going forward is that we, the players, are alone. We can't trust the CPM or CCP. It's for us to sort our own s*** out. |
